I am trying to make a Dark Elf warrior but I want a unique look to him like all dark elves have, but I dont know what hair to use any advice? My fav so far are the top-knot or the pony tail that is pulled back

@4skyrim I agree with ur opinion though I think it isn't that they added enough detail but they were trying to keep the female dark elves feminine and attractive which could effect that femine appearance. or it could be they worried about adding too much detail and make the female dark elves appearance suffer. Thats my thoughts really. though I agree completely about how dark elves look way better than they did. awww yeah dark elf all the way woot.

I mean for men, you want to be scary or mean or vicious looking, because that is a warrior which is what most people go for.

@SmartGuy4today They can be made to not look ugly if you just put a little effort in the character customization, I managed to do it in only like 5 minutes. Frankly I'm kinda glad they don't all look like actresses and super models, 90% of everyone in real life look ugly, adds more realism to the game.

Plus as a side note the first one he showed didn't look that bad.

Though I'll probably never play one, (Dunmer ftw!) Wood Elves actually look fairly formidable in Skyrim. In Oblivion I would just randomly attack wood elves because they looked ultra silly.

the women's facial features aren't as intense because they are more feminine, but you can still tell that she is a dunmer. As for the men, they just simply look bad ass, I think I might be one.. but with all these new looks for all the races I can't choose!

@4Skyrim I think they put less detail on the female dunmer so they keep a feminine look, too much and they'll just start to look like a slender male. But im sure there won't be restrictions to level of detail you can have. Started playing through oblivion again, first time i've made a thief. I have had soo much fun with him, been kililng people left and right. Was stealing from the imperial palace and found a ring that made me invisable, thats karma for you.

I hope werewolves are an option, and I would probably make one with them, because they are already vampiric, so werewolf would be how you go further. I hope their vampiric features are scary as hell.

@Jumpy0261 Exactly. They look like they're supposed to. A cursed elven race whose culture developed in the wastelands of Vvardenfell. And they really do look like Ashlanders this time around. The Dunmer have always reminded me of Middle-Eastern cultures, in-so-far as they formed armor and clothing and homes meant to keep the ash storms from harming their bodies or dirtying their living area. Very reminiscent of what you see in Middle-Eastern cultures who face sandstorms.

to me I Think the dark elves kinda look black as a race and they mix with the high elves or the wood elves. because of the structure of the face and the intimidating because in my opinion black people are very intimidating out of the whole race that live on this earth. you can look at a black person sometimes I see they have that intimidating structure in there face. @Gamamaster101 Well... I guess since the Argonians have overtaken Morrowind, the Dark Elves will be pretty pissed off at the Argonians and vice versa. I don't think there's collective racism, but it seems that certain races won't like certain other races.

In other words they refuse to respect the ones who took part in creating their world. Races like the Altmer and Imperials will be considered higher class while beast races like the Argonians and the Khajiit are frowned down upon by them (more so by the Altmer).

They're more of a cursed race than a demon race. The three advisers to their highest war chief betrayed him and used an arcane artifact to make themselves gods on the level of Azura, one of their goddesses. She's a Daedra and she became jealous and cursed them with ashen skin and red eyes. Sort of like her own honestly. So in a way they resemble Daedra, because a Daedra cursed them.

@anonb8 I usually play as the race the game's province revolves around for my first playthrough. I'm making an elderly Nord gentleman for my first playthrough. My favorite race is the Dunmer and will be my second. The Nord will wear light armor and specialize in dual wielding small axes, and the Dunmer will be a heavily armored battlemage who uses Destruction and Bladed weapons. I'm giving him the skull facepaint and a red mohawk.

Although the 'Demon race' isn't accurate, Its very believable. Their ancestors worshiped the Daedra while the other races worshiped Aedra. All of the races in general look like they put more work into the men then they did the women. I dont mind the dunmer females though. They still have a grim look to them and it's a much better effort than Oblivion. If there were so many facial similarities between the males and females we wouldn't be able to tell their genders apart.

@gameofelijah1 There are "hundreds" of NPCs you can marry(if they want to marry you) and any race and any gender can get married. Female Argonian w/ female Orc? Sure! Male Nord w/ Male Khajiit? Sure! Male Redguard w/ Female Bosmer? Sure! You get the point by now.
