this is nice and all, but they cant do this in gaming, as this is just ONE head, imaging having 4 or 5 DIFFERENT heads plus an environment, our computers wouldnt be able to handle alot of graphics, but this seems nice ;)

Anyways, I'm talking about how they aren't going to use this kind of graphics until atleast a year or two. Most games that are out today still support DX8 and the earlier version of DX9. So until Vista improves or the new Windows OS comes out ( which isn't for a few years ) you won't see these kinds of graphics being used in popular games like Half-Life.

LOL do you know what the fuck your talking about?? Your card is slower then the GTS. it has a lower mem clock cuz it doesnt have to to work as hard to transfer the packets. Just because it has a lower mem clock doesnt mean its slower. yours is higher because it has to work harder to trasnfer the packets. I have the new 9600 GT with HDMI and is clocked faster then your card is and it is at the same lvl as yours.

Well your right most of the way. but also the reason why PS3 used Nvidia is becuase there tuned for Racing and FPS type games. There shitty on Pixle shadders but they make up for it in many places. I have an ATI x1950pro in my spare pc and it has the same grafix as the Xbox 360, reason is is because i increased the mem on the card and overclocked it. My nvidia in my current one is the 9600 1gig card Sli. Smokes the pants off of the PS3. I hate console cuz you cant upgrade. :P

i cant help there but the 8800gt is not as good as the GTS because it has less video memory. the gt has faster clock speeds but the gts has a higher bandwith. all i can tell you

i used to have that. It is good. i Played Far Cry Very High 1440x900 and was averaging 26 fps in the highly graphical areas. But for Crysis, on the same res, i could only play on Low. And even then i got 15 fps lol.

The PS3 uses a modified version of the 7800 GTX.

The 8800's would smoke that easily. Only reason console graphics are so good is because all the code is written for gaming. All the CPU does is process video game code nothing else as compared to regular pc's.
