  • MUCHAS GRACIAS POR LOS VIDEOS (THANK U VERY MUCH FOR THE VIDEOS)

    MI HIJO VA APRENDER MUCHO!!!

  • nothing to do with maria monterrori :D

  • You should turn the tray after you have moved all pieces from left to right, as the child must always work from left to right as practical life lays the foundation of reading and writing. Its the most known characteristic of montessori, although it seems alot americans dont understand that part. I dont mean that as judgemental its just what ive seen. I know different trainig centres differ so that must be why.

  • I disagree....you don't 'turn the tray', you restore the work to the original container so it's ready to be done left to right.

  • well thats ok too, as long as the child always does the activity left to right and not right to left as she is doing in the video.

I learnt to turn the tray and it works well. just wondering though, how do you "restore the work"? if you were doing a tonging activity and transferred left to right, would you then use your hands to put them back in the original container?

  • Hi, thanks for your response.......I have the child 'restore' ( put back - remember Montessori is also about language and increasing vocabulary)the work with the tongs, spoon, whatever tool they are using, into the original container on the left when they are finished. Never using the hands, but bless the little ones, they do 'cheat' and use their hands, an amusing observation which I would never disturb. But i would re present.

  • again, please show it with a toddler... it's just odd to see an adult making such activies. :)

  • Nice clean example of Montessori tonging practical life activity!
