@TheRyder89 Sending him back to hell is basically just an exorcism; the demon can still come back if it escapes hell. Killing it is, I imagine, like erasing their essence because they don't have a soul anymore. It's erasing their existence permanently so they can't ever come back.

A human's soul is tortured and twisted until it becomes something else, which is what a demon is. Once a person's humanity is lost, their soul (a "moral compass" so to speak) stops being a soul.

the stupid thing is, Castiel stabs him with that knife from Rubby...why didn't he use the Angel's Blade? That thing can pretty much kill anything...Also it show's Sam being more powerful than Castiel.

I loved Alistair! I actually was really pouty when he was killed. My dad asked what was wrong and I was like; "My favorite Demon died." He just shook his head and walked away. Plus his meat suit is cute! XD <3

I love Alastair. He's my second favorite villain on the show, after the Trickster. Alastair is by a fairly wide margin the most unmitigatingly evil character on the series. He delights in torture and is the only being ever to claim to prefer Hell to being on Earth. Even Lilith never made that claim, and Christopher Heyerdahl played the role amazingly. It's just a shame they killed him after only four or five episodes.

You know, looking back on the whole of seasons 3-5, I must say that Allistair (the one seen here, and not the first Allistair) and Crowley are by far my two favorite demons! (though, Lilith at the end of season 4 was pretty hot... so she'd make 3rd).

Yeah! Christopher Heyerdahl is a great actor, and is just odd the voice he uses, the tone, the way he drag the words when he speaks, I love it actually, I mean, its like, all the actors who played Alastair used the same kind of voice, the same way of speaking witht that cynical tone ha!ha!

A Demon cannot kill an Angel! It can just send the Angel back to the Heaven or take him out from a human body. Of cors the Angel can back quickly to the fight!
