Does anyone know who wrote the melody to this song? I know the singer Melissa Manchester had a vocal of it in 1979 shortly after the movie was released. This is such a powerful melody and being played by a big band like this is a treat to listen to, thanks for the upload.
3 years ago today when the Scouts Alumni Corps was finishing rehearsal to perfrom at the 2006 DCI Semis, I presented them with a good luck gesture from Lynn Holly. Lynn Holly was the lead in the movie Ice Castles and a friend here in Newport Beach, CA. Lynn now has two children ages 9 and 11 and her signed pic from Ice Castles wished them all good luck that night in Madison three years ago. Madidon rocked the house that night. As a co-founder of the KAC and marched Kingsmen 72-74, Thank You.
I can still remember the chills I got the first show they played this in and still watching it today I get those same chills, they are great, and am still a fan.
this piece made our band CHAMPIONS for 6 years
