I've always pruned all the suckers of my Brandy-wines,have always gotten a good yield too.but I will try your suggestion this year.You should mention to that Miracle Grow does nothing to up the production of tomatoes,it just makes the plants bushier.I plan on putting in 30 different verities of heirlooms this year to sell at the Farmers Market. Seen them in the supermarket here once in awhile,not often and they were selling for $6.99 a Lb! Thats like $7.00 for 1 tomato
