I once owned an Ibanez TS-808 Tube Screamer and was able to create sounds that ranged from a seagull to a woman screaming and various other sounds in between by tweaking the knobs.
Indeed! I'm cackling over here listening to these amazing sounds. It's incredible what you can do with a few stomp boxes. By the way, would you believe I sold my Ibanez TS-808 Tube Screamer for $400 about five years ago?
i am amazed at how overrated those tubescreamers are. i can get the exact same sound with a 15 dollar fab tone overdrive pedal or a 15 dollar rogue distortion (which i found in the trash) ...i own a tubescreamer, i just dont know what the hype is about them...and i guess i never will... i've been playing for 20 years. my favorite pedal to mess with as far as overdrive/distortion is a big muff.
I totally agree with you. I bought it off a friend for $10 back around 1984 and used it very little. It wasn't bad for distortion but for that true tube sound I have my Fender Twin Reverb (tube amp).
Before I sold mine I saw that somebody sold on for $600 on Ebay. Is that just crazy or what?
its realy funny. I try some experiences like this. I have a lot a pedals. Do you know line6 fm4? If not look at my clip 'lagriff' check for fm4. Its a kind of machine can give you a lot a fun. You are cool man!
hi - would you please do a quick review/demo of the DOD FX-747 by itself? I can't find anything elsewhere.

If you want a screaming woman, why not get the real thing?
