  • i loved dis song since it came out i was bout 12 n was 2 young to know bout suicide

  • I thought he killed himself or got committed?

  • so what is this song about?

  • @justinsane61c i always figured it was about a kid who had killed himself. he disappeared and no one knows where he went... maybe the mother knows. "there's a lion in your silence" "sometimes i wonder maybe we're to blame"

  • This is the song that really gives me the creepy feeling and chills all over my body. Taylor's vocal ability is amazing... I'm 27 and always been a big fan of Hanson. Still remember I would be grounded by my parents cos I bought all those Teen Beat magazines just to have Hanson posters and pin-ups lol

  • @vampeee Hi, i''m jane, 30, from Ukraine. I''m although a big fan off HANSON since 1997 when i was 17... These guys all special, but when i listened Taylor''s voice - i was shoked. It was smth., magic, i wanted to listen theire music over and over.

  • @vampeee i''m too bought all magazines with them and they were on my walls... I was watching all hit- parades, gathering voices for them, kept them on 1 place long time... This song ones off my favorites, very passion...

  • @Purf3ctGris Thanks for uploading these songs, it's been so long since I've heard them and it's SO comforting :)

  • R.I.P. Johnny Reynolds! You are forever in my heart and I will NEVER forget you. Very much missed and loved.

  • I remember when I was like 13 14 years young and I loved Hanson with all my heart ... I'm just going through all the songs, artists and groups that were BIG back then ... This song was definately one of my faves.

  • i love hanson!!!!!!! me and my bestie are singing and dancing

  • I love Hanson ...Loved them as a teenager and I still do !!

  • Love it. Love hanson.

  • This is what they should have be remember as. This song is amazing. They were kids.

  • this song is sad i wish i new what they ment about this ''jonny'' kid/person

  • the best song of hanson!!! omg i remember how obsessed i was to them :)

  • Tay doesn't sound like that anymore....he could still reach those high notes and give me chills!

  • dang i remember listening to this song as a kid and it tripped me out

  • I remember going to see them in an outdoor concert in Charlotte when I was 11 and I had such a horrible fever but it broke that morning lol. This song still gives me goosebumps! The teens now have no clue as to how great Hanson was growing up or any of the other boy bands from the 90's for that matter. I don't really listen to them much now but they were great back then!

  • Anyone else find an uncanny resemblance to Duran Duran's "Come Undone"? I got this CD when I was 13, and I still can't think of parting with it. I giggled like a little kid when I saw then in "Last Friday Night" recently! :)

  • I remember this song it was so good!

  • ;((( This music remind me of my cousin died when she was 17 ...

  • I'm From Belgium, I loved them when I was 10... I'm 19... Time flies... But their songs are still graved inside of me <333 Isaac, Taylor, Zack <333

  • lol this song used to creep me out! but i loved hanson

  • i was OBSESSED with hason when i was 5. i am now 18. this was my first CD ever..i remember i loved this song cause it said my name haha, oh hanson how i miss you

  • I'm from Argentina and when I was 14 was super fan of them. Now I have 25 years and remember them with a lot of love. Your music is great!

  • aw man its like a blast from the past :D i loveeee Hanson

  • yadude..... fak

  • Justin who?

  • HANSONNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love the music and Taylor's voice in this song...i first listen to this song when i was like 7 or 8....and until now I'm still wondering where the hell did johnny go?by the way I'm 21 now..this song is haunting..it reminds me of my classmate who committed suicide when we're in 3rd year high school...

  • Used to be obsessed with this band... and they are still around and doing good. They weren't just some one hit wonder, these guys really are good. They don't get near enough credit and recognition.

  • @Monicarain2011 in my heart they are

  • allways hanson

  • Thanks for the post. This song is haunting.

  • hahah on every hanson video, people are always saying stuff like "13 years ago, i swore i would marry taylor. i loved hanson!"

  • Can't believe it's been 13 years since the first time I heard this song... it reminds me of the innocent time of my life :(

  • My name is Aimee so I always felt special lol.. I miss the 90's

  • the lyrics are like a story being told:) it's soo emotional and great.

  • omg i still know the lyrics.. 13 years later!

  • @21Danielles Same here! o_o It's so haunting, isn't it?

  • Great song! Taylor has a beautiful voice :)

  • love this song!! is one of their best!!!! and it's timeless... but seariously is it about a kid who killed himself or something???

  • @limori84 Yes, and it's very sad.

  • they are startin 2 come back to mainstream half assed. their"been thinkin bout somethin" video has been on cmt or mtv i think a few times

  • I bet Jhonny's the one dislikes this song?

  • I don't care if liking Hanson used to get me beat up everyday in middle school, i'll always love them <3 haha

  • Johnny was obviously abducted by the man from Milwaukee and is now on Albertane. I thought everybody knew that? :D

  • @MMMBopYoFace And they're with the Running Man doing The Walk in Georgia :)

  • i think johnny was kidnapped by a family member or something. they reference that someone knew where he was. just my thoughts :)

  • I must admit I really liked their music when I was younger, this is one of their songs that stuck with me through the years. Something about it is just catchy, too bad they just kind of faded out I always thought they had a lot of potential.

  • @deepfreeze202 They're still around. They aren't in the mainstream anymore, but they're independent now, they got screwed over by their record company so they created their own. So yeah they faded out to people that listen to commercialized crap music, but they still have a lot of fans and are still making incredible music!

  • @deepfreeze202 haven't quite faded out... just not mainstream.... their music has changed slightly... but Taylor's voice still makes it very familiar. Definitely a more grown up version of their earlier work. They have a website... I would check it out.. you can listen to all their albums for free on there...

  • i really need to go and dig the album out, i know i have it somewhere!

  • 1 person did not poop today!

  • @rebeccaaiken I know right. This album actually had some feeling behind it.

  • I always thought, when I was little, that 'Johnny' committed suicide. Maybe one of those kids tthat got bullied to death.... =[ I know I was like, 12. Kinda scary.

  • @iluvuTMK I also heard this song that way too. One of my favorite books when I was twelve was this really sad book about a kid who got bullied, found one friend who then left him to his bullies when he was worried about a girl. The poor kid drowned himself, and right after I heard this song, so I totally made that connection whether its there or not. Wonder what they did mean by it when they wrote it...

  • @iluvuTMK That's what I always thought, too!! So what really happened to Johnny?

  • @iluvuTMK Johnny did commit suicide.

  • Missing line reveals it all: Where did Johnny go? He got taken up by a UFO, oh yeah...

  • i think jonny got kidnapped.

  • Gosh, I use to listen to this song all the time with a few neighborhood kids back when we all owned this album.

  • I love this song. I could always cry when i listen this song!

  • this is one of my favorite songs of all time. i haven't heard it probably over 6 years, but i still remember all of the words. :P <3 <3 <3

  • @roxybehan Why miss them, they still release stuff. :)

  • Someone should make a movie based on the lyrics of this song.

  • I LOVE this song. For years me and my friend at school would play this song onthe school pianos. It was paticularly poignant for us being at school. They were so mature in their sound and lyrics and have stood the test of time. If you like this listen to more of their music.

  • This song is very haunting and I have never heard a song like this that mentions the disappearance of a troubled teenager. This song and "Weird" are a lot different than the other songs on this album. Just issues and thoughts not many people really think about until this song is being played. The new generation doesn't know who Hanson is, and it upsets me greatly. This song reminds me of what Pink Floyd would have done if they started around this age. I can never get tired of this band.

  • @reflectedsin I grew up with Hanson. I was 5 or 6 when this album came out and I have loved them since then. I also grew up with Pink Floyd in my house too.

  • @LittleLotte1410 That makes me very happy to hear! :)

  • @reflectedsin Hanson is nothing to Pink Floyd. Come on. Those 2 should not even be mentioned in the same conversation. How ridiculous....

  • @PeachykeenLNG Heh, that's what I thought. I always thought of Hanson as the Osmonds for the 90's generation. Very good songwriters for their age but certainly not on the level of Pink Floyd.

  • @vivahate100 Very much agreed! I loved Hanson in the 90's, their voices were very sweet and yes the writing was good, and obviously the publicist was even better (LOL) but to compare them to Pink Floyd is an embarrassment to artistry.

  • @PeachykeenLNG Well I just mentioned them both in the same paragraph. They are both very amazing bands. I grew up with Pink Floyd and then started getting into Hanson. It was a comparison. No reason to be rude.

  • @reflectedsin Wasn't trying to be rude, just saying they're definitely not on the same level! You said something about how Hanson was a younger Pink Floyd... :-/

  • @PeachykeenLNG Well to me you were and I don't appreciate that. I meant with this song in particular, they remind me of a younger version of Pink Floyd. That is my opinion. You have yours...leave it at that.

  • @reflectedsin Yep, and that was my opinion! Chillax bro.

  • @PeachykeenLNG I am relaxed. (:

  • @reflectedsin LOL ok so balance is restored to the world! hah

  • @reflectedsin There's plenty of songs that talk about this kind of subject matter, particually of this era - everything from Runaway Train by Soul Asylum to Jeremy by Pearl Jam. Hanson are very talented and Yearbook is a very good song. But they ain't no Pink Floyd.

  • @reflectedsin

you're right and support your comment

  • dude these guys bring back so many memories :D

  • Remember that kid in school, that was just a little different that nobody really talked too, because rumor had it he was nothing but trouble, The kind of kid that had a hard home life, where his mother was drunk all the time and daddy was gone. He had lots of secrets and one day he's just gone and then rumors start like: he's in jail, he died, etc etc, but nobody really knows what happened. There was always a kid like that in every school. That's Johnny.

this song always gives me chills <3 <3

  • yes i like hanson they were the beiber of our time lol i wanted to be ac so bad lol

  • @stitzjr Why were you upset with them?

  • Love, love, LOVE Hanson. Always will, but I gotta say. As much I love this song, it is pretty melancholy. Well, writing this proves their talent. :)

  • one of their best songs ever!!! love it!! :)

  • @nettieheartful yes youre right.... thank you!

  • @nettieheartful actually it's about a friends death that they were dealing with.

  • @babykmaa1231 It's the suicide of a friend

  • @TheRealmOfInara yes you're right thank you for the clarification!

  • @babykmaa1231 You're welcome :) My three older sisters were HUGE Hanson fans and I heard it for the first time when I was about six years old and I loved it! I asked one of them what it was about, then they told me :)

  • this song scared the shit out of me when i was little. but at the same time, i loved that

  • This is my ALL TIME FAVORITE Hanson song i used to listen to this song on repeat!

  • @Brizakillachic hell yeah when this song come out my parents took the cd of me i played it that much

  • They were originally "The Hanson Brothers" so glad they just switched it to Hanson :D

  • so incredibly rememinicent... reminds me so much of the 90's and such

  • I heard this song in '97 in my first college year, that could be 13 years ago

it's from a magazine in China "music heaven" which has been shuted, well, that is really reminds me so much ~~~~~~~~~

  • aww hanson was so cute :)

  • what is this song about?

  • @crubxstomper From memory ,it's about a girl at their school who killed herself.

  • @crubxstomper This is about a kid who died or killed themselves.

  • I LOVED WRITING THIS SONG WITH THE GUYS!

THEY WERE AND ARE SO TALENTED AND SO REAL!

    ELLEN SHIPLEY

  • ♥♥♥HANSON♥♥♥

  • oh i love it <3

  • hehee.. this was long time agao I heared.. good song which gives me memories back

  • I LOVE THIS SONG !!!

  • i always liked this song, even before i knew what it was about cuz i was real little. i really <3 their cd The Walk. great stuff.

  • I just regognized again, how true the songs of Hanson are....I really have to say...Now, cos I'm back on their music (and yes I regret the time I went to other bands and 'forgot' Hanson for a too long time) I realize how much their music give me, everytime I hear it.

Doesn't matter which song...I start thinking about the sense of it, like Yearbook, for example, because, I went through something like that by myself

  • I JUST SAW THEM LAST WEDNSDAY! AT THE HAT FACTORY IN RICHMOND! SOO MANY STORIES. I TALKED PERSONALLY TO THEM. LIKE OMG SERIOUSLY IM STILL IN SHOCK!

  • @punkprincess614 i wish i was there too!!!

  • this was the first american band or better said the first english speaking band I ever heard when I was 13 years old. Still love them.

  • I've always LOVED Hanson!! Way more talented than the Jonas Bros! I wish they'd get the recognition they've always deserved! This song is amazing!

  • im suprised they aint sample this beat for a rap song would love to hear it if they did

  • They kick Jonas ass anyday :)

  • I lost my cd... I wish I could by this album again

  • @Staralfur4444

Oh you can buy this album again!!

I have to do it too!

Cos a 'friend' of mine, lost my copy of the album, as I borrowed it her years ago!

    Great, ha?

Take a look at Amazon, there is 'Middle Of Nowhere' still availabe

  • I wonder... where DID Johnny go?

  • @poeticnerd1990 I think the nice thing about this song is that everyone has a different idea about it, and because of that also a different way of listening to it

  • @poeticnerd1990 at yo mama's

  • @firekreve2j and HOW old are you?

  • @poeticnerd1990 26 :)

  • @firekreve2j then act it

  • This song is bloody intense! It reminds me of fucking nothing

  • I really want to know what happend to Johnny. But I absolutly love this song. I can't find my one CD so I'm glad I can find these songs on youtube. XD

  • Hanson is super talented.

I was in 9th grade when they were super big. Listening to this again reminds me of how talented they are. They were so young when they made this fantastic CD.
