  • Oh my god, the first song, you're playing a New York Dolls song! *has heart attack*

  • mini humbuckers are so juicy

  • That thing is sweet. I want to know how it sounds with a bit heavier overdrive/distortion for punk/hard rocK!

  • What a cool guitar - bitchin' color too!

  • Anyone else who is fascinated that Andy apparently never plays the same song, and he has done how many hundred videos?! Amazing!

  • @Skeimag he must know litterally over a thousand songs

  • love to hear you playing!

  • this might be a massive fail but i cant remember the name of the song andy plays at 2:15... HELP!

  • @4Larquitectura

Lounge Fly - Stone Temple Pilots

    ...right?

  • @4Larquitectura Dear mr fantasy.

  • He's so good godammit

  • Andy, what is that last song you played? Sounds awesome!

and... Do you have like a Solo Record or compositions or a band? :D

can't wait to hear the p90 Giffins! :D

  • Fantastic and beautifull!

  • Man that guitar rocks! at the start!

  • Hey Andy, do you play in a band?

  • great cleans wow

  • Jet boys fly,

    Jet boys gone,

    Jet boy stole my baby

  • Sweet!

  • Well, maybe $2500 for a strange guitar is not a problem in the US... and also you can return it if you don't like it... but it's just too far from me.

  • Lounge Fly @ 3:44???

  • can you do pinch harmonix with your finger picking ?

  • @themusima He does it in some videos. ;-)

  • Sounds great, though I'd rather have a Giffin Valiant... not to say this is a bad guitar :) plus it's PGS exclusive, that's gotta be good :D

  • What tunning are you using for the last song please?

  • pelham blue is such a sick color! I love that thing, sounds great.

  • So is the Tone King replacing the DRRi for the new videos?

  • What type of amp (settings) and effects (any) were used in your playing here? Or was that straight non-effected sound?

  • Love the way this one sounds. Love the pickups, and I'm sure it feels great.

But the body design, headstock logo/design looks cheap. I'd never buy it.

And I still prefer PGS using a standard amp to spotlight the product.

But PGS still makes the best reviews on the web - and sells the best gear.

  • @Semach4444

how can the shape of the body, logo, and headstock look cheap? you know those are entirely cosmetic, right?

  • @Acruhf I'd have thought them being cosmetic would be the very reason it looks cheap, as opposed cosmetics making something sound cheap, or taste cheap...

  • @xVancha If being cheap implies a low quality instrument, then I would think that cosmetics have little serious impact on the overall build quality of the guitar.

  • jetboy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I knew they were going to play NYD or Jt -_-

  • Dear Mr Fantasy, play us a tune...

  • I think it sounds fine. Only fine.

  • very beautiful guitar... and i will have this guitar than a gibson les paul standard! nice playing too Andy

  • i only play western indian rosewood fretboards....sorry

  • Ugly.

  • Not to big on the shape or look, but the sound is pretty killer

  • I don't know if it's the amp, the guitar or the mic, but is sounds too thin to my ears.

  • Nice guitars - ans worth a little more b/c they're not bolt-together. But in order for this to be the "Deal of a Lifetime" - you've gotta let it go for $499. $1199 would be a great deal.... $1899 would be a good price... and I'd pay $2500, but it's not a deal - that's rack rate. ;-)

  • Much to like about this guitar.

  • Andy,

Have you ever played with pick ????

  • this thing is sick!

  • Damn! Between these and the Fano's I am in heaven! Wish I could afford one of them!! D: You guys do internet lay-away? lol

  • @shango02005 With you ALL THE WAY!

  • nice. sort of like a boutique epiphone wilshire.

  • do you offer anything with a tremelo

  • Amazing!

  • andy,

doesn't playing with your fingers, especially when strumming with them, cause you to lose alot of high end of you attack and tone? does this your finger style plying work well in a live band situation? does it cut though the mix well?

  • @tommy1gtr

he probaly cranks the trebs on his amp,

he once did a scoop on a guitar he and his dad built; and stated that they chose a dimarzio SD as the bridge pickup because the ceramic magnet has a better treble response for his finger playing

  • @tommy1gtr you should ask jeff beck too hehe.

  • really liking the sound from the bridge pickup.

  • Andy, you need to get on the ball my friend and start carrying DBZ guitars by Dean Guitars founder Dean Zelinsky. He's come back with a new company, DBZ Guitars, and is making some true masterpieces. He's got a guitar called the Imperial that is about an inch thick, probably the thinnest guitar out there. It sounds so sweet. He has a semi-hollow version called the Imperial Aliento. You really gotta check them out and then start carrying them. You'd sell them like hot cakes, I promise.

  • Thank you for the demo. I love Andy's playing. I use my fingers instead of a pick as well. The mini humbuckers are mean little Bi@+#$. Keep up the good work. I would probably subscribe to a channel with just Andy playing. Andy, you have a youtube page?

  • Love mini hums, got a 78 les paul deluxe with the minis, such a great sound and such an underrated pickup. Awesome as always Andy and the PGS guys.

  • have you guys move to the Tone King permanently now? Sounding great either way :)

And I hope you've got a decent stock of this model, I can definitely see myself (and quite a few others) getting one

  • Andy is the best at reviews! He explains things really well... You rock Andy!

  • Pause @ 3:38 for a look that says "I'm Andy bitches!"

  • those minis are you Andy!

  • Man right now, that sounded Epic! Its still echoing in my brain!

  • that things a fuckin monster!!

  • hey these are actually not holy shit priced like most from the hand made luthier line. 2500 wont even get you a look at an lp custom.

  • gotta say....I never thought sonic blue was a great color but man the sonic blue on those giffins looks beautiful. I can't wait to hear the P90s. BTW Andy loved hear Dear Mr. Fantasy...great playing as always

  • @scubagib - Thanks! And it's Pelham Blue, actually........

    -PGS

  • Comment removed

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos Yeah I realize the demo was with the Pelham...I was just looking at the image of the sonic blue on your webpage and the earlier anouncement video. Sonic is a really hot color for the griffin.

  • @scubagib yeah that is a great colour indeed, but actually 'sonic blue' is a very light, almost white colour found on some fenders.

  • God this wonderful.

  • nice hes playing new york dolls jet boy nice

  • These guitars are a nice cross between modern and classic styling. Very nice.

  • the main body of the guitar looks like a strat. But the edges are a lot more smoother and sanded.

  • @Pikachu25sci90vt At a glance perhaps, but with a more rounded butt end, deeper waists, a freer neck joint, slimmer horns, a 3x3 headstock, etc...I wouldn't lump it in with the Fender-thieves out there at all.

  • jet boy stole my baaaaaabyyyy!

  • does anyone else skip ahead to andy playing?

  • @twinbladedfury with a voice like his? No chance ;)

  • @twinbladedfury No way, the waiting is part of the excitement! :)

  • These are sweet guitars indeed.

  • first! oh yeah my life is complete!

  • @MrManson94 congratulations

  • @MrManson94 Lolz, your only second :P

  • What a beauty!
