Every corner of the planet has great beaches and luxury malls. What dubai doesn't have is natural beauty (of any sort), history and a native culture. Everything is imported from somewhere else.

Dubai is SHIT
It's all man made and fake
It's all shopping malls, concrete, metal, glass etc...
No history, no culture, no beauty, nothing.
Now with the market crash over there, there is no reason to go there.

@nimrooo take a second guess. I went there this past summer. There is culture and beauty everywhere. The beaches over there are amazing, as are the hotels and the women. Their mall is crazy and so was the dealership I went in. It is great place to live or go if you have money. hehe

If you have money you can have fun anywhere on the planet, Dubai is no exception. But what's the point when everything is fake? Even if I was rich I wouldn't choose Dubai. Every corner of the planet has great beaches and luxury malls. What dubai doesn't have is natural beauty (of any sort), history and a native culture. Everything is imported from somewhere else.

Absolutley amazing, Lovely people, everthing about it is perfect, i realise it has been hit by recession recently but it will pull out of it quicker than any other country. I think that the Maktoums are not better then any other leader in the Gulf. If Sh. Mohammed is calling for a free press in the UAE he, himself does not belive what he´s saying. One day they are going to send him out of the country.
