  • I love this! I remember reading about this temple in Following an Ancient Path :) x

  • I love the Goddess, but let us remember that paganism needs balance of both male and female. Both are equally important. I like the diversity of polytheism. Monothesim, whether it is worshipping male alone or female alone, does not bring the world the balance it needs badly. the universe can be seen as both female and male, or neutral, but not one or the other. We need to include females without isolating men. If we islolate men, we are no better then the people that isolate women. Blessed Be

  • this lady said if u believe in satan then u have to believe in the old testament..of course she would say that... u edomites are funny.. tryna make this seem as if ur not devil worshiping lolz...all this witch craft n pagantry came from lucifer smart guys do ur research in the bible and outside the bible.

p.s. the old testament is the only real testament..not the new one that was written by the roman and greek mythology.

THE REAL hebrew israelites and tribe of judah wake up!

  • @famzskyhigh there was no such things as satan until the christians came along to gain followers. some say that the christians based satan on the great god Pan, thats where you get your goat association with the devil. lucifer actually means 'light bearer'- i dont see this as evil. stop searching up pagan vids and spread your comments some other place.

  • Does paganism entail going out into the desert and wear cool looking robes? How does this differ from Burning Man?

  • @JasonDamisch Not quite... although some do have some really cool robes, when they wear them. Burning Man is a LOT different than the work done at the temple.

  • The lady at 2:14 sounds almost exactly like a Tracy Ulman character (Ruby Romaine?)!

  • Great, more pagans who ignore/dishonor the God and the masculine. Shameful. Both male and female are due (read: required) worship. The Gods are quite angry, folks. ALL of them.

In other words, these misconceptions aren't your biggest problem.

  • @nhprman As a NeoPagan, I see so much focus on the female aspects of diety, and feel a little... well "odd-woman-out" because the diety first in my heart is male. (Anpu) However, it is hard not to rebound completley to the "female only" side when there is so much focus in mainstream religions on the goodhood and superiority of the masculine. It is so easy to run to one side or the other and almost forget that both male AND female are needed for life.

  • @Forestimp45 Extremely well said! Balance is required in religion, as with all things in life.

  • @Forestimp45 I agree with you. I love both goddesss and god. If we isolate men, we are no better than the people that isolate women. I like to worship both male and female

  • are men alowed to go to , and pray / meditate ect in these types of areas?

  • I am Wiccan because of Sekhmet. When I was young, I suffered with depression. I was ready to kill myself, when I found that something was wrong with me. I called out for help, and Sekhmet came to me. She healed me, and told me that everyone has a path to follow, and she has decided that mine should make a difference. So, she made me a Daughter, and I realized that our world has so much out there that I had never explored before. That was when I started Wicca. Blessed be, my sisters!

  • dirty and dusty, i like it

  • I like this video. Sure, like most wiccans...i have different views....like i have both a femanine and masculine diety. But all that aside, i realy like this temple. I might go out to visit this place.

  • People naturally crave a Mother Goddess. Mary is worshiped just like a Goddess in Catholicism. Even the school of thought that wrote the book of Isaiah in the Bible wrote about Jehovah gasping in labor, in Isaiah 42:14.

  • lol it also says that in the al'Quran too, not just Christianity and Judaism.

The woman needs to check her facts.

She has no knoweldge what's so ever.

    Kuffar people

  • now this is something I could get into.

  • love this temple please keep it beautiful!

  • Oh yeah... we rock!

    Sa sakhem sahu

    BoJo

  • @BoJoBrn What does this mean? :) x

  • @Pagyptsian The mantra Sa Sekhem Sahu (I misspelled i my post )can be chanted to balance and increase your inner

    power. Sa Sekhem Sahu is pronounced Sa (Sah) Sekhem (Say-Kem) Sahu (Sah-Hoo);

Sa means the breath of life; Sekhem means power or might; Sahu is the realized

    human.

    Love and light~

  • That was wonderful I am Wiccan and we are much the same with love and respect of nature and the high place women have in it.

I agree with everything you all of you said pagans and wiccans live with love with our mother earth and moon.

    Thank you that was wonderful

  • Appreciate your comment, knowing it must be from a sense of caring and concern rather than hatred and prejudice.... but these people are not lost, They Are Found!! The Eye of Ra smiles upon them! Alleluia!

  • Wiccans are not feminists.

  • but some feminists are indeed wiccans! (grin)

  • Your point being?

Yes, feminists and wiccans do occasionally mix, but it's a fucking venn diagram. Only some are; same with homosexuality. Some actually are (a large amount, from what I've herd).

When they say "Wiccans are feminists" it's like taking the venn diagram and splattering shit over it to try and get rid of the lines that seperate them. IT DOESN'T WORK. It only makes people wonder why mix a political statement with a religion; like saying to be a christian is to eat pudding.

  • haha! How delightful, only someone under the age of 18 would say,"fucking venn diagram", the fuck to shock I suppose, and the venn diagram to sound educated, and of course most telling the idea my remark had or needed to have a point! Do learn to spell before you graduate...

  • Grow up. I can spell, but I'm not a nazi about it for pete's sake. Just pointing out spelling errors doesn't earn you any points on your side.

  • you are a cute little boy arent you! Im not on a side nor trying to score points...if your looking for someone to argue with you'll probably have to find another youngster...Blessings to you.

  • jeez you guys! just chill! it doesn't matter that much!

  • considering the last post was 2 months ago Id say that was already well established....like your profile name by the way, pretty cool.

  • Beautiful...Thank you for sharing this with me Dot.

  • Dragonfly,

    Thank you for sharing.

  • I live in Henderson,NV{Vegas},and am Agnostic Pagan. I started going to the Sekhmet Goddess Temple years ago and was Handfasted there. I know some of the Women in this video, and one of them is one of my closest friends. It is very narrow minded for anyone to say Pagans are lost. We all have different beliefs. Furthermore, there are Pagan origins in Christianity. I didn't realize that honoring the Earth was bad or would make someone lost. lol. Trust me honey,we are not lost.

  • There not lost, you are lost for thinking they are lost. You have truly lost your way, they found theirs.

  • These are such beautiful and sincere people who truly 'walk the talk'.

    Sa Sekhem Sahu

  • Personally I find it rather ironic that a peace activist built a temple to a goddess of war...

But hey, she does have her different aspects. (though vengence, war and divine wrath are her forte...)

  • seems to make perfect sense to me to go to the Goddess in control of the issue you desire to influence. Offer her enough bloody beer, the fight will be over....

  • Lol, honestly, after the Nile River incident I don't think there's enough alchohol on the face of the Earth that could get Sekhmet smashed...

  • Goddess Bless these women who have made such a human community here under the harsh desert sun,

    maidens of the spring,

    daughters of the temple,

    mothers of the people,

    grandmother spirits..... Sa Sekhem Sahu

  • Lovely video. I still need to make pilgrimage to the temple to give honor to my Lady. :) Someday.

  • yay!!! This documentary is just wonderful!

    Blessed be! Aimee
