i use to have a ps3 until i turned it in for and 360 elite and i'm glad i did. I bought into the myth of the ps3 and almost became a dumb fan boy instead of a gamer that just cared about playing games. I could care less about a console war. Three major problems with the ps3. The blu ray reader will go bad i promise you this. Constant freeze ups will get worser over time. An this change in color like the HDMI cable is fighting the system you have to turn it off and back on again to fix it.

It maybe the TV or it's the PS3, do you have a 60 or 80 GB PS3, if you have a 40GB the games won't play at all or some will just not properly, 20gb ones aren't able to play PS2 games...but try to plug it in to right plugs...if it don't work and stays red then you might got a bad PS3.

It's not your PS3 and it's not your TV. It's your Cable. You are missing the green signal. Are you using RGB. If so, you have Red and Blue, but no green. Check you cable.

Lair is the first of at least 10 really awesome games to come in the 3 month span after that. You'll also have Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, Unreal Tournament3, Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, Socom Confrontation, Assassins Creed, Army of Two and a bunch more. As for a blu ray player its one of the best ones.

There's probably 1 or 2 stand alone players that are slightly better but Amazon. com has it rated as the top blu ray player(and the movies really do look great).... But really its up to you if you like those games that i mentioned. PS3 is def worth it, it just depends when the games you want are out for it. Don't forget MGS4 and Killzone2 come out early next year also. Oh and home will be out in october also with all those games.

Well right now blu ray is beating out hd dvd...which ever format movie studios and companies decide to go with will take become the new format like dvd is now...but this will take a few years. But if blu ray wins which it looks like then xbox360 will probably make an add on down the road. The plus side for ps3 is the blu ray drive is already built in.

Even hd dvd is an add on for the 360, 100$ sold seperately. As for graphics, right now they look virtually the same. Only difference is that ps3 has games that can hold more content on em then 360. Like Lair coming out soon is too large for the 360 to run. In time you'll start to see amazing games for both systems, everyone seems to think ps3 will have the edge in graphics. Check out the gameplay for MGS4 and you'll see wut ps3 can really pull off.

It mostly comes down to which systems games u like better. Which ever systems exclusives you prefer u should go for that system. I think home is a great feature to have for free which could be a good selling point. And everybody is saying 08 is gonna be a huge year for playstation3. Tons and tons of games. You should look over the games for both and see which u like better. I just don't want to miss out on MGS4, Killzone, Socom, God of War 3, and others.

I live in the U.S...and no problem....what do you mean by "chipped to play copied games".....If you mean can ps3 play ps2 and ps1 games yes it can....there's a really small percentage of games that don't work but thats really really early ps1 games.

If you are playing the game using component or s-video cables, redo the connections on both the television and on the console.

*Make sure your'e using the right video cables for the tv

*Down load the latest firmware

*May sound stupid, but try wiggiling the cables

*I don't have a PS3 yet, but mabye you can change the video output to standard 490(or what ever)

*do all the other standard stuff(ventilation, ect.)
