To me, it's a comment on worth and exchange. It makes me think of how the exchange of money can cause deterioration (of the notes themselves, but also of the carriers in terms of bribes and capitalist blah blah) . But it's also about process itself.

Giving, and reciprocating, letting something go, and receiving it back changed.

I think there's a lot of implications here, but it's really cool :-D i really like it. I'd love to hear more about it...
