I quite like the fact it's never been put on an album or made it as a B-Side. It's just one of those songs he occasionally plays and it's good to see how it's developed over the years.
Radiohead could record this just like that and it would be a masterpiece. But they overthink things sometimes. I wish thom would take songs like that that will never be recorded with radiohead and just do them with AFP or something similar. Big boots, Follow Me Around, etc. Get rid of a lot of baggage. Plus, who wouldn't want to see big boots get a studio treatment?
years ago muso's would fantasise about "imagine thom yorke someone like flea through an old radiohead b-side" - i was one of them, and now it's happened

AFP is nothing compared to Radiohead. How can Thom base an entire tour off an old solo album and then use his solo band to debut new Radiohead songs? I am mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore. Fuck this shit. It sounds like a train wreck.
oh yeah! it's very clear, he said "hey knee head, i like your mom's breasts, but not to worry i'm on a diet at the moment so keep playing as if nothing happened"
@plopsack Yeah, I know. Actually, I've sort of changed my mind since listening to last night's cover of Love Will Tear Us Apart (oh flip, I love Thom Yorke for that) and just some discussion and a review I read of Wednesday night's show.
@Annaa97 its his song, he wrote it and composed it, the rest of radiohead haven't contributed anything to it, so it's not really a radiohead song... just like gagging order.
I was there... 3:43 was one of my MANY highlights of the night.

Oddly enough, Follow Me Around sounds quite like Pearl Jam's "Parting Ways" which appeared on the 2000 album Binaural.

Excuse me for asking a retarded question fellow Radiohead/Yorke fans. But does anyone know what Thom was doing/saying to Flea at the start?
ToolisARapRockband 1 year ago
@ToolisARapRockband think they just hadn't ever rehearsed / played the song before & given it's a b-side, it's likely flea hadn't ever heard it.

my guess is getting him up to speed on the chord progression.

@ToolisARapRockband I'm assuming Thom was telling Flea what chords to play.
