We have trailers somthing liie that here in ALberta called beaver tails same thing but no ramps.. just drop the air and off you go , just be carefull at the teeter point
Nice video but in america actually pretty much just in california everyone doesnt use ramps. and if a CAT D-8 breaks from us doing that it isnt a good tractor. and cozad and murray tell you that is the way to do it. You can ask anyone who owns one.
@8v92fan I have many times, never tacoed the trailer, its the operator not the machine that bends trailers my friend. Rippers down when you come off back, lower the tractor to the ground, back off , dozer head down slide back till tracks clear, then finish lowering to ground, not to hard.
point taken , kma0818 , but look at the ease in which this "task" was done compared to your method...my point is that there are some people out there with not to much common sense, plus this method is a lot easier on both the machine and trailer...different folks, different strokes!!
Interesting trailer, never seen that design over here, are the ramps hydraulic? We just use fixed beaver-tails, some with a flip up live-roll for winch work.
