this place used to be packed with people late 90s...i still remember back day where i used to go here every weekend....seems now,2011 tiz place closed down due to emptiness...
Jerudong park is an absolutely DEAD park! The last time I went there was about 5 - 6 years ago. Even then the park was already dying. The rides were not maintained. I wonder how is it like today?
this was 2006 and there are still rides... now there are only bumper cars, the boatride on waterfall (I forgot the name), the water shooting range, go cart, pirate ship for kids and some other kids' rides only (not adult's). Even the kid's train is gone. I used to like the ship and the roller coaster but they are now dead. People, the govt can't just focus only on this park! They need for other development. That's why they price the rides, for management of the park
I haven't been to Jerudong Park for years after that incident went they shut it down for good. Can you tell me whether it is better now or still the same?
yes its coming back to life!! especially weekends, crowds now, so happy to see n mingle with my kids.. que for boat ride, que for horse... oh the fountains loved so much by my kids!! its alive... slowly tho... but still upset on the pony express. gone
Used to be pack in the first few year of open. Nowaday, it was so empty. like a ghost park. i guess it is badly manage and the population was not big enough and locals basically just lost interest in it.
What a shame, this place used to be heaving, it's literally dead. When I lived in Brunei Jerudong was free for local Brunei residents (as the Sultan is so rich)
DAmn fuck. Some of the rides are closed due to the stupid bruneian people not showing up in the park, the reason is u hav to pay for the rides now, AS a result THis park is now completely DEAD!! Shame on you Brunei!!
How can you blame the locals? the reason its been dead nowaday is probably because there is nothing new about it hence people tend to lost interest in it. as a teenager growing up in the 90's, this is the place i always like to go to on weekends with my mates. I will not blame the Bruneian as they tend to take things for granted. its a great park mismanaged badly.
Damn what happened to that place. It used to be so awesome, I loved spending weekends there when there used to be massive queues for the simulators. Now it's just sad.
man this makes me wanna cry. all my childhood was spent going there all the way from SERIA. now look at it. it used to be so alive with all the arcade games and the pony express. the food market. the water shows.
its a ghost town haha. i remember when they first introduced the pusing lagi. the lines were endless the park was full, thriving and free! absolutely free.
i miss the place. dad was an expat and the park was an amazing playground for us kids growing up and living there. certainly was an excellent remedy for homesickness, especially when it was always buzzing every weekend. shame to see what has become of it
yep i was a engineer there before they got rid of all the expat engineers, what a shame to see all the hard work people put in the place to get it up and running, going to waste the place used to be packed every night at the beginning
Came across your video and gosh, I feel so embarrassed. Like other Bruneians I'm pretty sure we all miss the great times that we used to spend at Jerudong Park. That place was THE place to be before the whole crisis in 1998. I really hope that they'll restore it one day and when they do, do come back, you wont be disappointed -- promise...
too bad it wasn't like it used to. this place used to be packed with families/tourist/people from all over brunei every weekends years ago. and now, most of the fun rides are closed. not one of brunei's greatest attraction..
no more jp all bbecome resident evil....
