I believe this bus was added to the fleet recently and isn't a part of the 98XX (1998) batch of Gillig's.
I saw this bus once on lunch a few months ago while it was laying over. The windows are different, smaller back door (all but 2 of the 98XX's have wide rear doors), smaller mirrors, and grey flooring (The 98xx's have red flooring).
2000 I believe.GBTA numbers thier buses according to the year purchased.They also have 9800 series Gillig's which would make them 1998 models.All GBTA Gilligs have a DD50 engine with a Voith transmission.

WRONG.
Cummins L10 CELECT. They ALL have 'em up in Bridgeport...mostly with Voiths and a very few with Allisons...
