It's fairly simple: there's war going on and the city is falling. The big warehouse is one of the last refuges for the people and gradually, the sound of The Music brings them all together (Strength In Numbers and that). I think the two people with the cameras are resistance fighters/renegades capturing the last moments of freedom. Then you have the funny shot of the soldiers seeming to enjoy themselves.

I actually don't think the video is that great, although I love the song. I think it would have been better to do the whole video from the soldiers' perspective, if you're going to use this theme at all.

Hahaha:o) I Saw James Live 15+ years ago & the only comparisons with Rob are indeed they are both bald and enjoy their music & feel it in such away their performances are superb!But can you see Rob studying early 90's "flowery" james and thinking "Yeah i should do that!" I'm happy that The Music are still around. They could've thrown in the towel but they didn't. They're older & more mature now, so inevitably their music is going to sound different. I agree with GFP, you can't keep recycling your debut album, however brilliant it might have been. I love SIN: catchy tune with strong bassline & thunderous guitar riff to give it balls.

The Music is one of the most down-to-earth, energetic bands out there. As long as they don't lose that, they got my support!

the breakdown where he carrys on singing strength in numbers shows they've lost what they had in 2001...

No you're not alone, although I personally love the song and consider it my favourite of the new material I've heard thus far.

If this version is the only one you've heard, as opposed to live, then you might change your mind yet. There's much more dance elements in this version as opposed to the heavier, grungier liver version.

Even so, some people can't get past the repetition, which is fair enough, although I think it's used to great effect. Stu's baseline halfway through drives it forward and keeps it fresh. Plus, as henry says...it's catchy :p

As for the video, I personally think it's okay and nothing more. It's not the worst video they've made, and while this one looks polished and professional, it could have used a bit more work and preparation. It seems to be popular though, so that's a good thing.

yer its still good. but compared to the sound they came out with in 2001 theres no comparison.if u took away the vocals ude think they were different bands.i really liked you might as well try 2 fuck me e.p with karma and the original too high version and take the long road demo with walls get smaller new instrumental etc.has anyone heard those songs?.and the best thing ive heard thats new on here is "no danger" thats not goin on the album.all sounds 2 similar 2 me

Technically No Danger will be on the album, albeit as a hidden track!

If any lengthy interviews emerge in the coming weeks and you manage to catch them, you'll hear them saying how the writing processes they used for the first album weren't working anymore. Rob and Adam at the very least, thought they were just writing the same songs over and over.

Now I vastly prefer the first album and associated B-sides to the second album, but from what I've heard so far from the third, there's very clear progression there.

Strength In Numbers isn't going to be along the lines of the first I'm afraid. But it's much more like it than Welcome To The North was, if that helps. When it is released, if you're disappointed then that is a shame, but you'll always have the first album.

yer their songs had the same basic structure and they can only take it so far usin that formula, i realise that but the songs ive heard on youtube seem 2 still follow that same basic formula only this time the drums are less imaginative and creative as they used 2 be and adams guitar hardly does anything in the chorus. its not just the sound and songs .i think even rob was much more charismatic back then and they seemed 2 play with more passion and swagger.maybe im just nostalgic !
