awesome! thanks for posting this. I saw them a few times in Australia, amazing live band. Over time, Splendor Solis becasme my favourite album of theirs. Not sure why, maybe it's just simpler and looser? What a player!
One of the greatest bands of all-time!!! Too bad their no longer together :( Amazing live performances, I've seen them 10 times and never disappointed
You are absolutely right. No-one comes close live!!!. They blew me away from day one - in the early 90's and every show thereafter. Now if we could see Jeff play side by side live with Zep and Jeff Buckley on the other ... my dreams will have come true :-) We saw Jeff's last solo gig at the basement ... the only time I've felt like a giggling, nervous, 16 year old fan.
I invite you to check out my new Tea Party videos if you're interested. I've had the songs for years, they are shit videos but great songs. Called Baby What Are You Trying To Do and Little Miss Heaven.
A rare treasure this video is... Seen these guys 7 times and only heard it live twice! Not sure if they did it on purpose or just bad luck; my buddy saw them maybe 20 times and only heard it once or twice more than I.
Man do I ever miss this band! I'd pay serious cash to see them live once more.
he has his own style on guitar.....but if u say he can beat page your sadly mistaken....its just no one will be the next jimmy page...ya'know i'd live to see the day taht happens
oh man my dvd of tea party shows that jimmy page infact(if you need proof) came to jeff and got tips how to extend his skill ofhis own invention,The violin bow on the electric guitar!!Jeff martin is awesome!!So woo rock n roll are the tea party!!
Haven't you ever seen Jeff paint his face, wear pink spandex, and trash his instruments on stage before saying F*U and biting the head of a rat ... oh ... wait... that wasn't Jeff :-))
He was the one who had an instrument attached to the hip his whole life, sitting in a room alone practising his heart out, and always making fun of himself on stage for being a 'rock star' :-))
Jimmy Page actually was stunned that Jeff was able to do what he does with the bow in Save Me...apparently he asked him how the hell he isolates his high E alone so easily...
yeah i know :^),i think jeff martin is some sort of god seriously, ive been seeing him live since i was 17,Im very taken by him!!Im excited to see how this new 3 piece sounds ...Rocknroll
Man I miss these guys...I got into them when I was about 12, saw them during the Splendor Solis tour (and about 30 or more times since), among THE best live acts I've ever seen, and I've seen a hell of a lot of shows :P
I forgot The Tea Party did such amazing Led Zeppelin covers. Two of my favorite bands put together. They do an awesome cover of a couple of other Zeppelin songs to that are totally worth checking out.
Yeah, that's Dazed and Confused, they had this killer mix during the Triptych tour where they'd do Dazed and Confused, slide into The River, then slide flawlessly into an instrumental of Bullet in the Head by Rage Against the Machine, then into Voodoo Chile by Hendrix and finishing it off by sliding right back into The River...these guys are fucking gods :P
@Virtualwallvirus The first part is a cover of Dazed and Confused by Led Zeppelin then The River ,Tea Party then they finish with a quick bit of Bring it on Home also by Led Zeppelin.
I'm pretty sure this band is not given NEARLY the amount of credit that it deserves. First time I heard them at a friend's house on the cd player, I was VERY impressed, these guys have a very good amount of skill, and an original sound, the video could've been better quality, but it's hard to find perfect quality sound for live songs. Good job.
Canada's Jack White.

He is using a Wah pedal, and then has very minimal delay with that.
apatheticblue 4 years ago 2
do you think Jeff and Jack White have some fashion influences in common? Probably along with some musical influences...
domoleus 4 years ago
Can ANYBODY tell me what pedal Jeff used for that sound when he started to play The river?

It's a Dunlop Crybaby Wah.

Page didn't write his own shit with Zep, so you're saying the best ever is a cover artist?

Jimmy page and jeff martin are actually good friends and jimmy learns from jeff as jeff learned from jimmy :)
