corrupt Pete Sessions and Paul Ryan are corporate whores in the pocket of the wealthy elite having no concern for anyone but themselves and the wealthy who own the corporation that rip off the country on a daily basis
Since American Citizens are now going to be required to have health insurance, will I also have to continue to carry personal injury ins on my homeowner's/renter's ins policy? Can I drop the personal injury ins for my auto ins policy? If I can't afford all 3, what are my options? Die, don't live in a house/apt or don't drive? I thought you said the ins cos were the BIG BAD GUY? Looks to me like you just handed the ins cos more power and profit. Great reform? NOT The little guy looses again.
All of these bastards are not talikng about the elephant in the room. If they would just uphold their oaths and work to end the privately owned Federal Reserve instead of working for it, we could get back to a constitutional republic.
ryan is the height of the lying irresponsible politicians here. THE CUTS IN MEDICARE DO NOT EXTEND IT'S LIFE, THE INCREASE IN PROGRESSIVE TAXATION DO... NOBODY IS CLAIMING THEY WILL, AND HE KNOWS IT. Only the republicans are asking the cbo will cutting medicare increase it's life??? This was settled back in december. WHY WOULD THE CBO KNOW THIS AND STILL RATE THE DEFICIT CUTS AS THEY DO????? What desperate liars.
The current bill includes the 'savings' from Medicare as going towards the new program, so you are right. But Ryan's argument is that because Medicare is going bankrupt, that savings should be used to pay for the disparity. What your suggesting is that the difference be made up in 'progressive taxation'. In other words, the current bill gets a rebate, and rather than spend it paying off their credit card, they use it to do more shopping. I can see why he and other are taking issue with it.
@internate I am not suggesting anything. I am paraphrasing what the CBO said about their initial rating of deficit reduction, which they re-affirmed after the whole sessions letter, which Ryan is resuming. Whether the debt should be paid down or not- that's another issue. But the CBO is not that stupid to allow financial magic and rate it anyway, they would be a worthless body if this was the case. Def red. comes from cuts, life extends from tax hikes, no double counting.
Ryan speaks the truth. 500 B is double counted to create a supposed 100 B deficit reduction out of a bill that trully increases the deficit 900 B.
i believe that the liar is the CBO.
Progressive Taxation as you call it, will not save this bill from being massively over budget, and it will create an ocean of red ink. Increases on capital gains will do nothing but slow any economic recovery. These dems are idiots that don't know the first thing about macro-economics.
show me in the bill where it states that economic impossibility. Sorry you are being swayed by politics here, not policy, sessions started this whole mess with a hypothetical ? to the CBO. The CBO are all economists not politicians. I am not calling anything anything, there is an increase on tax for indiv over 250k/year, period. That is how medicare trust fund is now extended. What do you suggest? Miltonfriedman/aynrand?reaganomics? Sorry the middle class is the only true driver of real economy.
There is no " Double Counting " go look at Politifacts statement on this.
Paul Ryan is lying as usual.
