i mean to connect from the antenna to the usb from the pc, direct the signal through the program to transform the format from one codec to another and then send it out through another usb that's connected to a receiver which supports the newly coded type of digital signal

But if you have a regulat TV, you get the DigitalHD signals, and then these converters make it not HD, so it can be displayed on a regular TV

Man this is a rip off. I bought the digital converter box before the transitions and I can watch all my shows with the digital. Now when the transition came, the shows just disappear. The Digital Converter box can't find signals such as Fox but before it did. I tried everything, I try moving my atenna, I put it where it had find the signal before, I mean litteraly, I tried EVERYTHING! And nothing worked, it's missing channels that I used to watch.

Thats because most channels relocated their digital signals to different frequencies and for yur digital box to understand them, you have to rescan your digital box and do this every two weeks or so since new channels will always be added.

Hey up date your info on this video. Comcast is stopping ALL analog tranmision through their cable so you have to get a DTA box for each analog tuner TV,VCR,DVD recorder. or their big box of may to choose from. Some free if you have extended basic. Anyway for what you were able to get FREE basic signal many years not its going to cost

$20,30,60,80 a month . sometimes you have to buy many channels just to get that one you want. Best deal is to change providers one time a year.

If the antenna is on the roof, and in good condition, then maybe. If you have one on your balconey or patio, then you wanna make sure it faces the direction of the transmitters, if it's a directional antenna. Apartment & condo dwellers will have a difficult time with DTV more than those living in a house, since HOA's tend to regulate what antenna you can have, and where one can be mounted (if at all).

he dit said that you will get a better picture&sound,but if your tv only have antenna input,it would be in general pointless.

if your tv does has composite input you will get a much better quality but still it,s not the best.

if it does have s-video,rgb scart input you will see the best quality for sd channels.

but for hd you need a hdtv and a converter wich could handle it, with component output.

oh well it,s all about to blast your good old tv,s into new live hahaha lol.

I got a RCA DTA800B1, and DTV is amazing. I suggest everyone use video out jack when you can. The picture is absolutely amazing, DVD quality, better than cable in my opinion.

My television is a nice Flat Glass type set, so it displays the digital picture with amazing clarity. I remind everyone, Digital TV is DVD Quality. Superior to cable in my opinion.

I prefer to watch tv on my computer monitor because the dot pitch makes hd and digital look so much better than on even an expensive tv. I bought a hauppauge HVR-950q and can watch digital and high def from antenna or cable and record it in a quality that makes it great to burn to dvd.

Not sure about americans but atleast in most european countries you can get a DSL connection that runs through phone lines and is faster than cable.

If you're lucky you can get a fiber connection if they have the infrastructure in your area and get 10-100mbps connection.
