great review! i ordered this case because of it.

i think the lines are just slivers of tape along each of the sides to protect against scratches when installing/removing the case. if you put your nail on one of the edges of the lines, it feels like you can just pull off the tape.

i'm considering removing it (assuming it actually is tape), but wonder if it'll leave a mark or if it will be more prone to scratching. thoughts?

"Best clear case hands down" IMO! The lines on the back are annoying sometimes, but you can't really notice them with a skin on the back. This case is absolutely awesome! Fits with skins and zagg, bestskinsever, clear armor, etc...all that stuff which is nice. Surprised you didn't touch on the minimal watermarking. Just do the powder trick and it's fixed! We need to skype soon. Haven't talked to you in awhile. I guess we've both been very busy!
