I love Supai. The 8miles feels like 4evr but when its up it waz worth it. Thank u 4 postn my home I havent been back in a long time and if I do im hiking in :]
The words in the beginning are so true. I was there in the late 90's, I went with a group (3 weeks with people who I never would have met otherwise), and while I can't speak for them, I know that I remember the land fondly, and would return in a heartbeat if I could. Go and open yourself to the wonders, including the people, that are there, it may just change you.
that place is AMAZING i have only been once before a few years ago and every year i have been so excited to go again but havent untill this uncoming year im going to school is amazing i get to go to such an amazing place and i get college credit for it wow how did i get so lucky haha oh and i hope its ok to say this but i just had to mention that Katie is super pretty :-)
my new years goal is to hike havasupai. i will bring my good friends, my love for nature, and lots and lots of water :) great video. you guys seem like a wonderfully happy couple.
I just wanted to say thanks for sharing your experience. I actually saw the falls the weekend before the dam broke...was very lucky to see such a beautiful place...looks like you guys had a great time still
it depends but to the campgrounds its 5 - 6 hours mooney falls is about ten minutes farthter then the campgrounds havasu falls and new falls are closer
@minutemanaz to the village is about 8 miles and the camp site is about another 2 miles so if memory searves me correctly its about 10 to the camp but its not that bad
The river now flows around Navajo. So there is no falls there anymore sadly. However there are now two new waterfalls on the new path the river takes. The area they flow through still looks pretty nasty but with some time it could grow to be really beautiful. Still sucks to see something like that go. I'm glad I got to see it when I did.
Thanks for the video. I was interested in the damage of last year's flooring. Looks like the pool at the bottom of Mooney is gone. How was the pools at Havasu falls? Enjoyed your video. Thanks for the memories. TEd
