yeah...what ever....someone forgot when the E-Class about 10 years ago miserably failed a DOT crash...the passenger compartment was so compromised....the doors came off. LOL....my point....staged crash tests are just that...and having survied a high speed offset head-on....the results were morbid for occupents of both cars. who can forget the rigged cars Volvo crash tested....the results were rigged wth carbodies made with wood in all hollow members.

that test is so rigged....any vehicle hit on the side at realistic speeds and impact points of kinetic energy....the outcome for passengers? major injuries or plain simple....DEATH

Mercedes has an outstanding history of safety and their website has safety page where numerous real-life drivers who have lived after unimaginable crashes.

when these people do tests like this where the car is gonna get hit its not straight on the car is on an angle thats why basically every car out there does very good cuz its not head on on the side of the car

At one time the best performing car in the NHTSA side impact was the 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer. Now this car's got it creamed by SIX TTI points and FIFTEEN Pelvis G's!

Great video. Why wouldn't they use another car to impact the side of it, therefore also testing the strength of the front of the other car if it were to hit another in the side?
