There are some extremely religious Jews who believe that Jews can only return to the Land of Israel when the Messiah comes. That is a minority view. Most Jews support the existance of the State of Israel. Zionism is a political movement, but it has EVERYTHING to do with the religion. Many Jews would in fact argue that Judaism requires Zionism. You might argue only ultra-religious Judaism is true, but the majority of practicing Jews are Zionist and don't agree.
