  • SUBBED! keep it up! :-)

  • You're pretty much my one stop shop for getting info on any iPad music apps. Great stuff. Cheers! The tabletop tirade gave me big laughs.

  • Hey please respond me asap! can i transport or.. can i export a song i create with this app to iTunes????

  • @100DUE Yes, you can export songs to iTunes.

  • *Voice

  • Can you record voise

  • hey discchord, nice review..... bare in mind this is the pre update version..... rhythm studio has had a massif update with extra synths, a 909 and interface...... its a great app.

btw, reviews need more swearing ....just like yours ;-) subscribed.

  • I just got nano studio and wow worth it u do need to pay $20 for 16 instruments & tracks instead of 6 but it has do much u can do with 4synths playin at same time amazing app love it it's so feature rich I've only begun to get to the tip of the iceberg and don't know if anything besides a full featured port of aebleton and Cubase and fl studio not the mobile one but only the pc versions will be able to top it I'm just looking for another sampling and looping app that I can somehow import into i

  • Very helpful review. And I LOVED your analysis of Tabletop. I got sucked in and was very disappointed. The only good thing is that I got it before they upped the price to $15.

  • Looks fun but very limited. I think $2 is far enough for this. Now if it had midi support it'd make a bit more useful. Good review tho.

  • nice vid , i also hate the deceptive selling tactics of way to many app makers, and apple knows whats going on with that , they just want the money ! totally bogus ! thats why i like apps like these nice and straight forward.

  • I really hate the step sequencing side of these apps. I can see that people want the sounds, but why limit ourselves to step sequencing?

  • How do you make a video of the app? Do you somehow run it on an emulator ?

  • @b0rk3d I use the app DisplayRecorder. Apple does not approve of it, for the App Store, so you need to jailbreak your device and find it on Cydia.

  • @Discchord Ty very much, I guess this only works on 4.3.3 on iPad 2 then? I haven't jail broken mine nor have I upgraded to the latest firmware, just in case it's impossible to jailbreak in the future.

  • @b0rk3d Just to be clear, "this" Rhythm Studio works fine across all recent iOS versions.

Completely unrelated to "this", the ability to jailbreak an iPad 2 is limited to 4.3.3 and earlier.

  • do you think it is good for ipod touch?

  • @Luis543219 Bah the YouTube "Mobile" version on the iOS browser makes a mess of replies. I'll post them publicly here.

re: good for iPod touch: I'm not sure. I don't have any of the smaller devices. I heard there was a graphics glitch on one of them, but that has already been patched in 1.02. From talking with the developer I got the impression they spent a lot of time making sure it will run fast on all devices. Universal support was a major priority in design decisions.

  • @Luis543219 re: Is this good for beginners?: I do a series called "Everyone Can Play Music", which uses the technoBox2 iPad app. These apps are very similar since they are based on the same hardware, so you should be able to follow along in Rhythm Studio, which would give you an iPhone/iPod alternative to the iPad software I use in the series.
