He was given a move along order, which when refused, allows them to arrest you. Plain and simple, if an officer of the LAW tells you to move along, you do what they say, otherwise this is gonna happen. All I can say is thank God it was not the riot squad otherwise he would have been roughed up alot more.

Nothing happened to them because they were acting within the law. The judge found that the new legislation (that the police were acting under) was a breach of human rights.
