  • chills and teardrops fanfuckintastic!

  • Deener

  • Sooo Brown

  • The only Floyd song this reminds me of is Marooned, but The Division Bell came out the same year as Chocolate and Cheese so I hardly think one inspired the other.

  • no fuckin way man, i said if i ever go see them and they play this after its over im just gonna walk home and go to sleep

  • pink floydish..

  • i have the goosebumps

  • he is number four in my list of all time great guitarists

  • Eddie would have smiled down at them. Today was the day he left us. !2/23/92.

  • I love all ween people

  • @lesboognish yes all ween people are very good!

  • Quit saying Floyd inspired music. Eddie Hazel wrote and performed Maggot Brain between 1967-1971 and also was performing in the mid 1960s. Around the same time as Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Pink Floyd, Cream, etc.

  • Wankers and people who want to be "the next Jimmy Page/Joe Perry/Slash" can bite it. Deaner is a true god.

  • @rockerfurby10

Deaner is indeed a guitar god!

  • WOW soooooo brown

  • good shit

  • shut up crowd....and listen......"hey..yeah gimme a beam and coke..ohh their playing......6 dollars!!!! what the..."

  • Not Floyd but Eddie Hazel's (Funkadelic) song Maggot Brain was the inspiration.

  • no...but i think Floyd was def the inspiration for "buckingham green"

  • @noops76 What other progressive rock bands do you know? Because it really doesn't sound much like Pink Floyd. "Green" has a melody too graceful for Pink Floyd. It sounds more like Peter Gabriel singing for Genesis. As for the arrangement, it reminds me of "Strawberry Fields Forever", starting out with rock instrumentation, and ending with classical (which Floyd almost never does). Also, the solo isn't bluesy like Floyd. Just because Floyd is all you know doesn't mean that's all they know.

  • floyd inspired music, I like the feeling in the guitar...

  • My brother's little dog named Eddie died today. I sent this video to him. I think it's a fine tribute.

  • right on

  • DEAN WEEN rules

  • I was at this show with my bro OGL and we started yelling 'tear for eddie' repeatidly....and people started yelling it with us....yada yada yada....they listened!

  • Wow that's funny. The 1st cocert I ever experienced with Ween was in Ma. 10 yrs. ago in Sommerville Ma. and I was given shrooms by some guy at the front door for free (stupid move). I tripped balls and kept SCREAMING "A TEAR FOR EDDIE" repeatedely from my 3rd row seat's but they never played it. I saw them laugh at me though, which I, personally think is cool. Haha.... don't do shrooms!!!!

  • damn i luv this song...

    just letting da guitar sing......

    its da shit....

  • i think i just came :O

  • This song is so amazing!!!!!

  • The best guitarist ever. That's what deaner is talking about.

  • Man, shit's incredible. This song is leagues better live.

  • That's feel man!

I bet Deaner's got the largest record collection. When he plays, you can hear a drop of almost every great guitarist that has ever been lived in the world, while there's never any doubt that you're listening to Dean.

  • great stuff

  • "Deaner! Play like on of your favorite guitarists died!"

    "Why?"

    "Just do it man"

(Reenactment of the day Deaner first played this song)

  • maybe it's just me but doesnt have the same emotion as eddies, still an awesome song though nice one ween.

  • amazing

  • so sick

  • Incredible tribute.

  • BREAK SHIT FOR THE DEANER!!!!!!!!!!

  • I didnt know it till I saw them live, but the Deaner is my guitar god

  • oh and that made me have goosebumps because it was so amazing lol

  • i would cry tears of joy if i could see this performed live

    man...

  • My favorite instrumental song. Can't get enough!

  • i analysed this song once for a oral presentation in highschool, and i made the intro something like 'this song is just freakin' amazing!' haha got an a+ though ;)

  • One of the best guitar instrumentals I know of.

  • deaner at his best

  • i love ween so much

  • love deaners stance!

  • Deaner rips a mean version at The Sterling Hotel in Allentown, PA in 2002. If you find the audio check it out!

  • Thanks for the tip, found the song and it IS a really nice version he does there.

I have to say I really like this version here too though :)

  • Probably one of my favorite solos.

  • I loooove this song. Ween are amazing.

  • amazing tribute to Eddie Hazel!

  • Who's Eddie Hazel?

I thought it was a tribute to Eddie Van Halen....

  • There's a lot of confusion about this; i'd say it's cool enough to be a tribute to both, and any other Eddie's out there deserving it

  • Eddie Hazel was the original guitarist for Funkadelic. Check out the song "Maggot Brain" from the same titled album.

  • Check the song Maggot Brain the best ever solo guitar (10min)

  • eddie hazel

    original guitarist for funkadelic

check out the song maggot brain

    amazing guitar solo

  • This is a great Tribute To Eddie Hazel

  • Deaner is insane

  • sickness
