  • your video is on Kingston Times dot CA

  • @KingstonTimes Could you please send me the link? Thanks!

  • How did you do at this competion?

  • I did pretty good. The judges were impressed. I got a silver medal for this kata.

  • Hey that was a cool and unusual kata, looks really effective, I like the really low stance with the frontal and overhead block its really kewl, Im always looking for more things to do with tsun kwas! Good solid form!

  • Hey, Thanks a lot. I appreciate the comment. What style do you practice?

  • Thanks a lot.

  • Ah very nice i practice shotokan and its Yodan with a weapon that just gives me more ideas for competions you should try kamas one of these days. I find them to go along very well with Basai Dai (sorry for spelling if its wrong)

  • Nice and Crisp. Good to see you understand the essence of your style of Kata and can identify the many hidden concepts within. I could also see a hint off Kali involed. Well done.

  • Thank you.

Yes! You must be an expert. There is a hint of Kali right at the end. I believe if you flip the tonfas and grab them from the tip they become kali sticks with an extension (tonfa handle). So, if a person knows the kali sticks, he/she can use the tonfas as tonfas and/or kali sticks.

This is what I tried to demonstrate with the tonfas. Basically the variety of things that can be done with them.

  • Very creative kobudo interpretation of the form :)

  • Thank you! :D

  • Your grip switch is reasonably fast! Commendable!

  • Thank you! :D

  • nice worked

  • sweet im trying to learn how to use tonfas on my own .. but progress i should say is very very slow unfortunately.

  • Nice interpretation! I'm a chito-ryu student. Your Seisan kata is so different from ours. Incredible!

Anyways, nice work with the tonfa.

  • Thanks!

My style is also partially Chito-Ryu. It's a mix of Chito-Ryu and Shotokan. Percentage-wise it is 75% Shotokan and 25% Chito-Ryu.

  • good job dude

  • Thanks!
