Actually season 1-2 are a bit different then the following season. The main plot isnt as fast developing. The story does'nt turn around the apocalypse yet. (Well at least noone could tell) These 2 seasons are more like our weekly 40 mins of Jeepers Creepers :D

I can totaly undertand why Dean and Sam missed these times when all the heaven & hell trouble was coming down.
