  • fukking miss programming drum machines!! got to get one.. 660 or 770??

  • this compared to the dr-770?? what do you think?

  • Can the DR-660's drum pads or A/B banks be programed to different midi channels? No information in the Manual about this.

For example the DR-670 has a Drum and Bass which claims to be able to

divide Bass on one Midi channel and drums on another.

  • DANCE MANIA!

  • Any Metal beats or rock beats??

  • i want drums that sound like what the hard rock bands use. Not quite so much electronic sounding. Not quite so much Techno feeling. Just like regular drums.

  • i have all those drums in samples wav they sound incredibly amazing .

  • Great!

  • Doing most of my "work" from the 770, but I'm missing some of the sounds that came from my now-dead 660. Next year's tax return hopefully brings me da 880, but the classic 660 sounds will 4eva be misssssed!!!!! :p

  • i have 660 first day and its easy 2 play but can someone help me how to adjust pattern length ?

  • @NGineMusic when you press recording..arrow right and turn up with tempo wheel

  • Thanks mate! I just bought one on ebay ten minutes ago after having seen your video (42, euros)! Exactly the kind of sound i wanted, thanks very much indeed!

  • looks like the 770s are going for less than the 660s on ebay. wonder if this demo has anything to do with that..

  • @squeakyfromme69. I've never used the 770 but the 660 was the first machine that BOSS came out with like this and they made several others in a similar configuration. It's a good machine but I wish it would have been able to trigger my sampler. The 808 is just killin' it!

The 660 (and I am sure all of the Boss machines like it that followed) is super easy to use. Sequencing/effects/constructing new kits. All equipment should be so simple! Peace.

  • @MTXSHO9732vV8SHO cool, man. thanks for the info.

  • @MTXSHO9732vV8SHO Why wasn't it able to trigger your sampler? Is there something about the DR660's MIDI spec that wouldn't allow that to happen?

  • @sweepstakes Truth be told, when I first learning MIDI (1993 or so) it occured to me that if my Poly 800 could trigger my sampler then 660 should be able to as well. I probably tried for about 30 minutes and moved on when I was unable. I'll try it again but I'm using the M Audio Axiom 61 these days and it's drumpads took to triggering my sampler like a fish to water. You know how it is "path of least resistance". All we really want to do is get the music out, right? Peace.

  • I love the 660!!! The sounds are not very good IMO but the pads and sequencer are just fun and so simple to use that I can't live without it. I have 3.

A group called Regenerator uses 660 and 770 sounds on there records. Hyperium & Hypnobeat record lables.

The 770s will heat up and burn you, seriously. But they have more memory and patterns.

  • You know if i could trade a 660 for a 770?

  • Is it easy enough to use?

i'm waiting for mine to come over from a friend in America, was just wondering if you couldpost a tutorial or that on the basics?

    Thanks

  • Great rhythms! I had no idea the 660 sounded this good.

  • man i love these old school hip hop beats u got going on, on this thing.

  • i like the sounds you are getting around 1:02 - 1:37

  • I want one.
