I hope this movie delivers. I am not bitter like zal4u, but I feel that Makhmalbaf's latest works weren't quite on par with his earlier movies. It seemed like he's loosing himself in imagery and getting further away from narrative. A movie first and foremost needs a good story (second: good acting.) I can't comment on the acting because there's not enough of it in the trailer but the dialogue is highly intellectual and the only thing that can make it work is a solid story to back it up.

And the title for the "Best Opportunist Director" goes to..... It seems like Makhmalbaf has made yet another two-dimensional intellectual film with bad acting, forced imagery to appease the eye while stating the obvious. He should really be a music video director! There is one undeniable truth learned from his body of work, a theme if you will, is that in this industry connections can get you much further than ability.

I am now waiting for a film directed by Makhmalbaf's pet parakeet!

i saw this movie 6 months back. it cannot be judged as on of makhmalbafs masterpieces but its a gud one and dares to portray the reality which most of the indian directors neglecting in an urge to lokk to the west or fareast for some inspiration,ofcourse there lies a deeeeeep hahahahahahh....
