Mien is originally called "yao" which means smallest village..Mien ppl originated in China as the smallest tribe..then after the yrs some of the members traveled and relocated down to Laos and Thailand so after fo many generations, Mien people are really a mix of Chinese, Laos, and Thai..If you don't believe me go do your research..plus ask how many Mien people were born from Thai or Laos..I was born in Thailand while my mom was born in Laos and my dad born & raised in China..

that is also why Mien people are harder to tell apart coz some resemble other asian ethnics such as hmong, laos, etc due to all the mixes.

Well, I don't know what Mien Pride is. But race does have something to do with it. He isn't exactly singing in your language or any of your traditional songs. He walked out there like a black dude. But it's cool, everybody wants to be black these days.
