that distortion pedal is fucking awesome! espescally cuz it has a tube which makes it like the distortion channel on the blackstar amp. blackstar is the shit
GREAT tone on those samples, man, especially PT(I always loved the sound on In Absentia, one of the best productions I've ever heard) ! I just ordered an HT-5, pretty stoked. Do you think this pedal would be a useful addition? Among other things I wanna play grungy, sludgy stuff like Soundgarden aswell and some stoner, Tool, 90ies alternative rock and maybe some heavier stuff here and there...
cheers. ive owned the HT=5 as well and i would advise that you prob wouldnt benefit having the distX (unless youre really into the ultra mega fizzy high gain end of the gain control) the HT-5 has plenty of gain on tap for all those bands. but if you wanna add to the paletter for sludge id recommend checking out a modern muff/fuzz type pedal. all the best on the search. its a fun and frustrating one.
@J0HanSolo I just picked up a little big muff, it is pretty much unusable or at least very difficult to find some good tone with it on my low end solid state amp I have right now... i can't get the volume knob past 12 o' clock and the sustain is pretty much always on like 9 o'clock otherwise it's just a big muddy mess. I guess and hope that will be better with the ht-5... what amp(s) do you play right now and what kind of music?
my main amp is a framus ruby with 2x12 and i have a jet city 20H with vox 1x12 cab. i know what you mean RE the LBM, and muffs in general...hence i started building my own pedals. but yeah i use a combination of clean channel with pedals, amp gain and boosted amp channels. music wise im all over the place. from extreme heavy modern metal to hard rock/grunge to clean/blues etc. check out my other demos for a rough indication.
Have you ever tried this through your JCA20H? Don't know wether to buy this pedal or just get a new head. D:

@scarey2k7
yeah i have. its not good unless the JCA gain and volume are set very low.
