Great video, your daughters hair looked fantastic! Can you let me know what the best parting technique is for sisterlocking/nappyloc'king. I'm going to attempt to do my own as I've tried test locs and they worked great :) So I know how to do them. I love setting myself a challenge with my hair! I'm planning on doing the micro size (same size as your daughter's?).. Also, after washing the hair should I hot pik it before I begin the locking process or just towel dry it? :)
Great video! The outcome was wonderful you did a great job! I've always wanted to be a loctician as well. I'm almost 3 months into my loc journey and wish I'd done it sooner. Be blessed and congrats on the position.
@Choc8Psces Thanks for the love. So far so good at the salon. I have learned alot and have a few clients. Good luck with your loc journey and takes lots of pictures for your Loc Journey Video.
i started locking in Feb of this year. Interlocking looks like an awesome process and something i wanna try since i like 2 stay active and sweat alot. Are there any negatives like your locs thining out or anything i should know at all before i try this process?
@LewisP86 You have to be sure to follow an interlock method and try not to over tighten your locs. I tried interlocking a couple of my lcos and found it very hard, I would rather someone else do it. Regular loc maintenance helps as well to prevent loc thinning.
@mslilmuff813 My son's hair was so dirty, he had an extreme amount of build of dirt and oil in his locs. After shampooing and using apple cider vinegar his locs were grey especially in the back. This was cause by him not washing his hair for months at a time. Since we were at the sink and the dish washing detergent was in front of me I decided to give it a try. I didn't use it on his scalp just his locks. The result was clean locks. Hopefully this was the one and only time.
Your hair looks great!! I'm also so happy that you're interlocking your daughter's hair. I hope to do this with my future children :-) Such a beautiful family and good to see you :-). Congrats on the salon and I love the banner in the background too :-) Doing hair is another trade of mine but I took another path. I wonder if this path will ultimately lead to doing hair as a retirement gig?? Thanks for bringing up the thought :-) Stay blessed!
@mylaylay18 Thank you! My daughter likes it as well. But she doesn't like the long retightening process. With time and patience I will get faster. It never hurts to have more than one skill to earn a living. I have done so many things and doing natural hair is just another tool in my tool box. LOL
Congrats on the loctician position! As gorgeous as your locs are you will be in high demand. Great job on the children's hair. I feel your pain with getting your son to shampoo thoroughly. I have to stay on my 12 year old and he isn't even loced.

Can you enlighten me on what exactly dish washing detergent does for your hair?
