exactly, all forever songs are unique. different lyrics, different melodies, duration etc. Now I don't remember how many versions exist on bootlegs, but to mee one of the best version is the one recorded may 84 in paris. you can find it on a bootleg called "your silent touch" cheers!
This is another great version of Forever (all mine or THREE) played live. hopefully new live versions keep getting posted on Youtube. I wonder how many times (different versions) were played live. The best version of (THREE) is "All I have to do is kill her"
According to the Frech fun site Impression of Sounds, Forever and All Mine have diffrerent chord progressions: the main chords for Forever are A - A# - A - G# which are same as Three, and A# - C# - A# - F# for All Mine.
This is a version of All Mine, another song that was only played live by the Cure, most specifically during the 18 Explicit Moments Tour. Much like Forever, it is only played live and always has different lyrics. Much debate has ensued as to whether this is Forever or All Mine. On the Anomalies Cassette it has tracks labeled Forever and All Mine suggesting that they are two separate songs. Either way, they are both some of the best Cure songs.
I think Forever, All Mine and All I have to do is kill her are both wonderful.
Great songs, it's a shame they didn't record it on studio, and there's only live versions, well, those songs are lovely anyways

all forever versions are unique right?
Or did they ever play a version twice in the past?
In my opinion Forever is a unique piece of improvised expression. (or something like this) a true masterpiece in its own way.
