  • 1/ the choice of the music is too slow as a Viennese Waltz.

2/ absence of much of the Fleckerls made the dance into 123 ,123 forever. Boring!

3/ I am disappointed generally speaking.

  • @georgewu5 The tempo was American V Waltz speed, so that they could do the American VW open work (Shadow turns, open standing spins, etc.). I agree it wasn't the most breathtaking VW ever, but not because they didn't do enough Fleckerls; they did. The song they chose was just too damned static; no driving melody to provide propulsion, so everything was kinda sing-song: Boom-chuck-chuck-Boom-chuck-chuck.

  • @alan2a1l Do you know the kind of " mannerism" I am talking about ? I mentioned that because some of the apperance of the figures in Arthur Murray style really made me sick of watching them. For example the avoidance of body contact in Waltz ( because the International style is impossible for them to do ! ) or the man behind the woman kind of appearance sometimes made me sick. This is only personal. I am so sorry to say it in public that I might offend a lot of people. George Wu, AIA 2012

  • @georgewu5 In order to make my point, one can go to YouTube to search for Marcus and Karen Hilton dancing the VW. That explained why the Hiltons were always number one ( From 1990 to 1997) as Victor Fung team was only number four. George Wu, 2012-3-18
