when i modeled stuff in z brush and brought it back into maya there was too many polys and slowed down the computer..how will that work if u wana make something very detailed that u need many polygons...i mean its good and bad... i just wished it woulndt slow other programs because of the poly levels that we put in...
your suppose to make your character low poly than bring it into zbrush as a obj than you sculpt all the little features that make it look really nice. Than you bring it into 3Ds max or maya and normal map it onto your original low poly model.

How many sub divs? How does your base mesh look exported from your 3D package.
