I really dont understand people would choose this song for their wedding.

For me this song expresses perfectly the pain I feel for braking up recently with my girlfriend because for some reason she is not capable off trusting me although the only one I want is her.

If you want to play The Cure on your wedding pick 'Just Like Heaven' or Lovesong or sth in that direction but Trust is a really strange choice indeed,as strange as Love will tear us apart of Joy Division would be...

I have always loved this song !! This song is truly one of the saddest songs I have ever heard. If you have ever loved someone with all your heart and soul and yet they dont put all their trust into you and you have put all of yours into them, that is very painful. The heart just breaks with such torn emotion. This song is filled with pain and sadness and yet it is so beautiful. Another poetically ingenius song from The Cure. My heart just breaks. The Cure forever.

I dont understand why this song would be used in a wedding. I feel that the meaning of this song is contradictory to a union of a wedding where solid trust within the two persons already exists. To me this song is really very sad and painful b/c its a plea to the other person who is incapable of trust. Therefore, the relationship is withering away.

@maryoperario We did because we met as Cure fans. Very little people around us--in our town were familiar with this music. We chose this melody, with no wording, because of the piano. It was a gorgeous ceremony and our first dance was The Cure's "Trust". Unforgettable. Been married for fourteen years. Not a bad choice at all.
