I was watching a recent Moncler coat on EBay and they listed for $859.99 - the auction has ended.

The pictures showed the ribbon was red/blue but the cartoon picture looked brighter then what you state as it should look faded... Is it possible for someone to look at the item no and just let me know if this is an authentic Moncler? Just curious.
Lastly if Skis.com sells Moncler is it safe to buy from this online store?
@danielandrewpiano The eBay item looks to be completely authentic. The cartoon does appear to be brighter colors but that doesn't necessarily mean that it's fake. Moncler could be printing them brighter these days. Of the 4 Monclers I have, the cartoons are all a little different as far as brightness goes. Just none of them were as bright as the fakes shown in the video. This jacket also has certilogo so you simply need to ask the seller for the number and check online.
Any seller who is not willing to give you the number is probably selling a fake and they know it. I just experienced this 2 weeks ago when I asked an eBay seller for the number, not once but twice, and they would not respond.
Skis.com appears to be a legitimate retailer so I would trust them.

@Ygiho Yes, ALL of those discount shops sell fakes. There are no good discount shops to buy Moncler. You might be able to find some places that sell them $100-$200 less than retail but that is as cheap as you'll find a new authentic one. Plain and simple, they are expensive jackets if you want a real one.
@174Frauke Yeah I would guess it's a fake. The cartoon doesn't look right, the logo patch is a little crooked and the border around is wider than it should be.
@XxFlyBoyKelzxX I can't say for sure about the order of the colors. Moncler did have at least one model a couple years back that had those 3 colors in the stripe but I'm not sure about the order of them. Can you send a link to the jacket listing?

DO NOT BUY FROM MONCLERCLOTHING.CO.UK they make out they are from the UK, I stupidly was taken in, when it arrived it was from China and not cheap, it was tiny, emailed them and they told me to give it away and buy another one as they do not do returns or refunds, they give you a fake address as well!
@christinepearce This is why we try to help people identify fakes and avoid buying them. Most of them come from China, you get no customer service, and if they will take it back, you have to pay high shipping fees.

@thehbkboy On the ones I've seen, the "made in" tag was attached to the collar of the jacket and said made in Romania, but the other tags with all of the information about the jacket may also say where it's made. Moncler has a number of factories in different countries and I can't say for sure if Italy has a factory. Most of the fakes are made in China but the tag will probably say somewhere else.
Ugh... I just bought a moncler from a website that only sells that. I HOPE it's authentic, it offers the buyer to return the item within 30 days so it's fine... I guess.
@toocoolforu If you just bought it, it's likely a fake. There are no winter jackets available from Moncler until October, unless it's leftover stock which is highly unlikely this far into summer.

If you bought yours from a site that is selling many sizes, many colors, that's a tell tale sign that it's a mass producer of fakes.

@toocoolforu If you compare the jacket you bought to an authentic one at a Moncler boutique, you'll probably notice a big difference, especially in the feel of the material. I also don't understand how these fake producers are getting away with it. Moncler is taking steps to shut them down but they just pop up under a new name. It's hard to tell the price of a Himalaya right now because there are none available from reputable dealers, but I seem to recall it being close to $1000 USD.
@th1zhuhui If you paid with a credit card you could try to file a dispute through your credit card company. They might be able to get you a refund but you would have to return the jacket. Was it shipped from China? If so it would be a little expensive to ship back with some sort of proof of delivery though.

i really really wish i saw your video before i went ahead and purchased a moncler bady jacket at an asian botique store. Im so mad at myself for being so naive and ignorant. I have never touched or seen a real moncler live. Just see pictures of celebrities wearing them. So when i went into a botique store this sales lady showed me a moncler jacket and basically lied to me into believing that its real. I bought it for $500 she was willing to give me a discount. But still $500 for a fake???!!
@Patato75 I don't think they could pull that off. I believe Certilogo tracks where the original jackets come from and more than one jacket with the same authentic number will raise flags if it is entered into the certilogo site.
I saw a Moncler on eBay where they actually displayed the certilogo number in a photo so I punched it in and it came up fake. Certilogo works as long as you use it so make sure you always check the number.

@dmxezz Yes all of the coats from that site are going to be fake. There are a lot of sites using the Moncler name that sell fakes. The only real moncler site is moncler dot com. When in doubt, ask the site or seller for the certilogo number and then go to that site and enter it. If they won't give you a certilogo number it is because they are selling fakes. The jackets can be copied but the certilogo number can't.

@jamaicansam37 Yes, they appear to be fakes. They are selling models from a few years ago as new and using stolen pictures so everything indicates they are not legitimate.

@dmxezz Usually anywhere from $500 to $1500 depending on the style, where you get it and if you can find a sale. I actually found a real Moncler Clairy this past spring on eBay that I won for $170 from an overstock dealer. An unbelievable deal that I was surprised to find.

@dmxezz Yes all of the coats from that site are going to be fake. There are a lot of sites using the Moncler name that sell fakes. The only real moncler site is moncler dot com. When in doubt, ask the site or seller for the certilogo number and then go to that site and enter it. If they won't give you a certilogo number it is because they are selling fakes. The jackets can be copied but the certilogo number can't.
