I've been looking into triggering my acoustic set and I have found a good deal on a brand new serum dd1 module and ddrum triggers... my question, is this module any good? I know a lot of people have recommended the alesis dm5 but they are pretty spendy. I'd like to here opinions on the dd1 module itself.
Fix your toms and your fulcrum on (at least) your left hand. Use a metronome, "if you're not practicing with time, you're wasting time". Other than that, keep it up bro.
@woosler09 i know i know all ive been doing is practicing rudiments so i get more agile when my hands..but i been approving anyways thanks for the advice
not to stomp on your dreams bro but you need more practice. i know you've been playin for 2 years but damn... you did the same whole beat through the whole entire song and when you did fills there was alot of stick clicking, not to mention you did miss a few hits on your symbols and you were off beat a few times lol. other than that nice song. not tryin to troll just sayin...
@TheHmmmma its ok man i still need practice, but like another dude said the toms were really unconfortable the toms were almost in a 90 degree angle which made it difficult to play a fill without me hitting the other stick or the corner of the tom pads...i was just improvising i didnt even rehearsed or any of that, but yeah i stil need practice its ok if you critisize im not perfect xD
@ericmknight1906 whoa man! thanks :D...well im planning on giving online lessons after i finish my bachelor on music and have a little more experience (ive been playing for only 2 years, then im thinking on studying also to be a soundman so yeah :D) and again thanks for the kind words!!! really inspiring :D
@TheRomans6 well its a practice kit... its ok if you use it for practice but if you plan to use it for gigs i suggest you buy a roland (i think its model is td4) elec. drumset
@davezaino well it just came out i never practiced for it...but yeah i was trying to do different fills so it wouldnt feel repetitive its just three flams its no biggie just make sure that they dont feel out of time
@geodrummer96 yeah i know but i do play loose because my hands dnt get stressed out while play.is just that when i play wth my right hand i do a weird motion wth my wrist that makes the stick play the first stroke wth the body of the stick and the other stroke wth the tip of the stick.im used to playing like this because on a real hihat it feels like im using accents and really does sound way better than if i do it the fingers only(one time i look like if having problems but its that i got lost)
These things sound awful. For a little more money you could buy a Roland TD-4 or a Yamaha DTX500. Either of these sound hundreds of times better than this cheap piece of shite.
When it comes to electronic drumming, there are other factors to take into consideration. I think the kit sounds good. I've been drumming for 11 years now, i know good kits when I hear them. Usually not only the drum pads have an effect on sound quality, but also the MIDI controller and the amp the drums might be connected to. And you also have to take into consideration the sound quality of the camera this video was taken with. ;)
@Jerenluis1 sorry, you can have the best of everything you're talking about and it still won't make this crappy drum set sound any better. Total CRAP, I have on e and It's worthless, stopped working after 6months so it wasn't even any good to practice on. Total piece of shit.
