after 25 yrs since BTTF was released, i finally made it over to Puente Hills Mall to see the actual site where Twin Pines/Lone Pine Mall scene happened. Its noteworthy that theres a mountain top thats visible in background (where the Ross store is, when Marty arrives on his skateboard & removes his headset)...the mountain isnt visible at night though. also..the parking lot is so small (looks huge in the film)..& mall security prohibits photograhy (but me being sneaky, i got some pics and vids!!)
@jeanlandim This is true. I have watched BTTF over 5 Hundred times on various media (VHS, Cable, TV Broadcast, DVD) and it wasn't till I watched it on Bluray that I could clearly hear the song in that scene.
i remember this song from when marty was sleeping and doc called him. Awesome song, Awesome movie, not to mention Michael Fox. I wish i was born in the 80's.
@buttlord123 ??? What's with the hostility? I've loved this song for years, and hearing it this time around it kinda reminded me of a song the Cars might have done. It was a great time for music. I like Lindsey and I like the Cars. What's the big deal?
@Fraaa1985 It's in the scene where Marty is sleeping, right before he goes to the mall. Doc wakes him up to ask him to bring his video camera. It's playing on the radio.
hey klwewf,..if you woke up and your sister has a new job making more money...thats still a bttf reference, as we all know how the end of bttf goes when marty returns to the "new" 1895.
for the longest time, during the scene in bttf when marty is sleeping and this song is playing, theres a poster hanging up on martys wall that says "sports" on it...i always thought it was just a generic football poster, or something like it....had no idea until recently that its the name of a huey lewis album...it should be noted, that i loathe music with excessive horns, which is why i dont care much for huey lewis and the news.
This is the type of song you hear on the radio around 1:30 on a Friday Night. I actually heard this song on the radio once not that long ago while driving down the highway with firends at 1 in the morning. lol
"Back to the Future" had it correct with playing this song while Marty was sleep.
It is still a cool song, but I like "Holiday Road" much better.
@Androjaeger Moron. Lol. It plays on Marty's alarm clocked at the beginning of the movie, just before Doc calls him to remind him about the mall. Must not have paid much attention through those 20 runs.
Awesome movie, awesome song. Too bad they don't make them like this anymore. Music today sucks for the most part and the same with movies. They're full of douchebags who think they're big shit. What I loved about Back to the Future and so many other movies of the time was how the good guy characters in the movies were humble & not full of themselves. Other than Tobey McGuire's Spider-Man/Peter Parker, I hardly see any humble characters in action/adventure movies anymore.
What I always loved about the scene this song features in is how Marty is sleeping in the most uncomfortable-looking way possible. Michael J Fox even managed to get comedy from such a simple moment.
I quite like this song, it's quirky. Also in one of my favourite keys - G# minor.
absolutely the worst, most offensive, piece of maggot ridden shit of a song I have ever heard and they call this music.. Lind buckingham is a albino nazi man
I also fell asleep to this song once, some mad old man then phoned me up to remind me to pick up his video camera before I meet him over at Twin Pines Mall to try out the time machine. I said 'What time do you call this? don't ever wake me up again you idiot'

it's playing in the scene where Marty is lying in a weird position in his bed, asleep, and gets woken up by the Doc calling him to make sure he's still coming to meet him in the mall parking lot.
i wanna go to sleep listening to this song like marty mcfly did in the movie..maybe then, ill get awaken with a phone call from some mad scientist wanting me to meet him in the middle of the night in some abandoned mall parking lot.
ok, I have to correct my previous comment...I watched that scene and it was indeed "Time Bomb Town" that was playing on Marty's alarm clock when he fell asleep. Sorry!
I fell asleep to this tune years ago (have the soundtracks). Didn't get a call from a scientist. But, when I woke up the next morning, I found out my sister had a brand new job, making a lot more money. Freaked me out!!
When Marty is waked up by the telephone at night and Doc is asking if he didn't forget to meet him at Twin Pines Mall. In the background you can hear the song from his radio.
feel sorry for him though he wrote the song for the movie and you hear it for like ten seconds in the background! Although it probably would be hard to incorparate this song into the movie lol
true but also the part when you hear "there got be about a million" you can't hear the music after that must of quiet out when the phone rang for Marty
