They are in a very abstract way. Sure, in an ideal world there would be no borders and no nations. But I think that they are a bit more realistic in their views. That is why they try so hard to make our home better by inciting the youth to make a difference one way or another. To do so is to inherently accept the concept of a "nation". Being against something in the abstract doesn't mean one actually acts against it in the real world.

Anti Flag does not hate America in any way. They point out problems with our country because they love their home and want to make it a better place. A true patriot is not the man who blindly waves his flag. Rather, it is the one who questions his government and its policies. By questioning our leadership, we are taking advantage of the very freedoms our country represents, in pursuit of making it a better place.

Anarchism isn't viable, but socialism, as well as capitalism, does have it's merits.

Whats more? The merits of socialism seem to generally fall in the same area that the downfalls of capitalism lie. It seems that we would combine the systems to make something close to perfect.

As for America- I don't hate America totally. I hate it's international policies (which admittedly do seem to be changing) and I HATE that most Americans act like it's the only country that matters

Anyway, as well as not hating America as a whole, as I said it does some attrocious things. You say it is the nation with the most oppertunities, I say: "yeah- for IT'S citizens." Internationally though, our "opperations" have been known to overthrow democratically elected leaders and replace them with dictators.

So, in many places, America TAKES AWAY oppertunity.

The Soviet Union was entirely socialist (or at least extremely heavily weighted toward socialism). What I think would work would be a combination. Also, socialism doesn't have to become fascism, just as a capitalist state doesn't have to be a democracy. The USSR became fascistic. I believe that was a major part of their downfall. That's the pattern. Country is born. Country is democratic. Country becomes empire. Country loses freedom. Country's economy collapses. Country falls.

The USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) was actually a constitutionally socialist state. Socialism was pretty much communism.

However, they were not at all fascist. Fascism is the exact opposite of communism While communism is based on equality and communal sharing, fascism is the exact opposite. Fascism was all about a authoritarian government with a single leader.

We HAVE become an empire, but we haven't lost all our freedoms yet. We still could, like Britain, simply relinquish our empire at large and protect our freedom at home. However, it seems we're going more down Rome's path.

Well, it is a little different considering a significant percent of Vietnam soldiers were drafted and didn't want to be there, and our army today is fully volunteer.

I don't wish for any soldier on either side to die. To me 1 American life = 1 Insurgent life unless I know one of them (for instance, my brother is a marine, to me he's worth pretty much any number of insurgent lives).

I do feel for the insurgent's cause- they are just defending their homeland- but I don't want anyone harmed.
