@toki1221 What I found: Ainu is very small national minority, their traditional activity was fishing and hunting, practically completely distinguished by Japanese. There remain about 20 000 people, that claim to be ainu, but only 1000 of them know their language. Ainu have no written language, very few ainu texts are written in Latin or by Kana. They are discriminated in Japan so they usually hide their origin.

As an American, I have been taught that Russains are Communist, and this, and that, but I try not to look at all of that. I truly admire their strong sense of identity, and as a person born and raised in America, it's hard to know who you are sometimes. There's so many different views here.
