The tongan version of this song is 'Ise 'Isa and the fijian version is called 'Isalei. This song originated from the village of nukunuku and the lyrics was composed by a fijian man who came to tonga and fell in love with a young tongan girl by the name of Tupou Sekona Fakatoufifita. When she turned him down he then returned to Fiji and composed the lyrics into his fijian language and that's how it became 'Isalei.
