thats how it does it! thank you for solviong an issue that was never there. What a mug 4 actually wasting some of your time looking into this, lol. twat.
Thank you so much for this! My 5 year old has been asking and I promised her we would google it today if she would only go to sleep last night! So of course she remembered 1st thing this morning! Thanks for cracking the case!
couldn't you just print out books then i mean its just paper with dots you could actually get free books this way wow you can even make leapfrog tag labels to put on things that the pen could read
It's called dot matrix.... the "fly Pen" uses the same and dot matrix paper... its really cool but thanks for the vid i never knew leapfrog had this lol
what caught my attention was the previous video showing how the pen knew which book it was reading; it would go into the specific character; at first I thought it just read the words until it jumped into different characters. I found out that the books must be downloaded into the pen 1st; with a limit of about 5 to 6 books at a time. Meaning that a next generation pen is probably coming (more memory).
Is amazing what can be done with technology these days! Teachers being replaced by their own teaching materials. Just plain scary. Great vids in general by the way
wow, now that is cool, i would of thought that the camera would pick up the word and then say it or with the picture pick part of it up and know what picture it is, but tiny dots, thats just feckin amazing
where did you get a USB microscope?

I do hope avanderen is joking....if not, even if it's easier, it's better to tell a child you don't know as opposed to lying.

The dots are triggers. So how are the sounds being produced? Pen reads trigger and ask for matching sound.

I'd have thought just incorporating some sort of OCR into the pen 'camera' would be easier than reading dots :S
