  • LA CAGÓ! tiene una voz hermosa!... quisas la mejor para mozart que he escuchado... pero si es por comparar Schwarzkopf me parece que tiene un poco más de lirismo y delicadeza para un mozart

  • fully agree with you, Schwarykopf is not even coming close to her

  • @cuoredeinidi " Greater than Schwarzkopf " - " A true genius " . You are right ! Thank you !

  • On trouve peu d'enregistrements de Teresa Stich Randall et c'est dommage . Dans Mozart , son timbre , son vibrato et l'expression un peu naïve sont sublimes .

  • my god that's fabulous, any more info on place date time fellow performers conductor?

  • This is simply gorgeous. Stich was a highly idiosyncratic singer but I have always liked her. If she was around today she would be the queen of the "early music" movement.

  • I had never heard of this singer before. She is absolutely wonderful! I really like her. Thank you for uploading this. Of course I always find rarities and little gems from you Oneguin65! :-)

  • I like her!

  • Quel timbre adamantin, quelles vocalises lumineuses, vocalises pour lesquelles elle ne faisait pas ralentir l'orchestre ! Inégalée car inégalable !

  • This singer has the perfect weight and breath support for this piece. She has perfect colouring and ease. Really singers do not sing like this at all today.

  • Vocal Teachers (?) today do NOT teach young ladies how to sing like this anymore

  • An amazing artist: where have they all gone>>>

Please feel free to rate my Dalla sua pace"

  • God I have always loved the way she did this. and DadsLloyd, I'm in total agreement with your take on the "Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen" recording, still my favorite rendition.

  • wow i love her!

  • @operavoices101 stichie-poo hated recordings. she said they weren't real. if somebody asked her about some recording she made, she would explode. it wasn't singing, but engineering and pastiche.

  • Wow! I heartily agree with the previous comments. My first exposure to TSR's fabulous voice was her recording of Bach's cantata 51 with Maurice Andre and the Chamber Orchestra of the Saar conducted by Karl Ristenpart (Nonesuch Records).

  • Amazing! I grew up loving her voice and artistry on recordings. I remember a beautiful Bach Magnificat-I believe it was on Vanguard. Thank you for posting this magnificent clip.

  • Thank you so much for posting this..I grew up in Amsterdam with hearing this amazing singer on radio. Later on when I had come to the USA I was fortunate to meet her. She was a favorite singer of Herbert von Karajan for over 12 years.

I had always pronounced her name the European way and not till I met her in person did I know different.. I had no clue and always thought she was Austrian lol She laughed and pronounced it the American way. Wow was she gracious and so down to earth.

  • Agree with you edspecht;and delighted to have found this Non mi Dir'. One rarely if ever finds it done so intimately. The young and inexperienced Anna Netrebko has a wonderful Non Mi Dir and all she gets for it is bad-mouthed pencil-pushing punctilious response from the nit-pickers.. It's good to compare this with her. Black and white and AN's colour!

  • Yes, a very sad year for opera. I only have one heart to break...and that happened on July 2nd with the passing of Beverly Sills. I thank God for these wonderful people who make the world somewhat livable.

  • unfortunately we had to wait to her untimely death to have her on youtube.

She is simply outstanding, more please!

I just wonder if someone could tell me from where to get the complete Don with her.

  • RIP-2007 is turning into a really sad year for opera.

  • Please, more videos of Teresa, one of the great voices of the XX century, unjustly excluded from the main record labels. Her "Et incarnatus est" fom Mozart's Great Mass is unsurpassable

  • I entirely agree ... and have you heard her 'Dove Sono' on the old Rosbaud Aix recording? - it is absolutely heart-breaking. What a singer!

  • I have heard some of her bel canto arias, great stuff indeed. Pilar Lorengar and Teresa Stich-Randall were underappreciated artists with unique vocal timbres.
