  • if someone can get charged for a "virtual crime" in halo does that mean tea bagging dead bodies is.... DUN DUN DUUUUUUN necrophelia? O_o

  • I wish I could find a attorney who would help me get my Facebook posts back.

  • American cops are worthless.

  • In america the cops only care about virtual theft when someone 'steals' movies, music and games by downloading them from torrent sites.

I guess virtual items do exist when they "belong" to the corporations eh...

  • well... it was a hacking, so i think its a crime.

  • what a beautiful waste of taxpayers money

  • If there was a dumbest officers ever show, this would be #1

  • LMFAO

  • Well to be fair Cenk, if they purchased virtual stuff with their own money the police have every right to investigate.

  • I called the POLICE because black people were shouting in Habbo Hotel "Pool is closed because of AIDS". I don't think they have investigated yet. lol :)

  • Did the police did a investigation on the Pool close case yet?

  • tykkää täst kommentist jos sun mielest noi usalaiset on hinttei :)

  • i love the way on this video there was an advert for habbo hotel at the bottom

  • just imagine sims3 and the nude mod . Sims3. that would be outrage

Wait. i am gonna kill this one sim who scared my sim. I will kill him by fire or imprison till old age!!

  • This reminds me of one of the most recent episode of "the big bang theory". Do what sheldon and his gang did. Find the mofo and kick him in the nutz. Then demand for your shit back.

  • WTF

  • The finnish police aren't as stupid as you try to make them up to be, dear TYT. It's clear you have done no research except for the headline of the news. The police are investigating a situation where a person has invested money into the games account (buying furniture, buulding up his character) and then all of a sudden a hacker comes and steals the account. That's not so right now is it.

  • @Ylviste well its not bad enough to investigate is it?

  • @aurkomaitra Well I guess in the United States it is not, because of the level of crime in the country, however in Finland, there is so little crime that if the police didn't do these things, they wouldn't have a job.

  • @Ylviste i dont really know that much about the subject so i wont argue

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA I had my furniture stolen in Habbo Hotel before! Like, 9 years ago when i was lame.

I had no idea how it was possible, but I didnt care. Just turned the game off.

  • In soviet russia furniture steal you

  • finish people are serious gamers

  • add me on habbo ~

    kira505

  • The thing is they PAID for those virtual things. Whatever it is, the fact that people did pay for it with REAL money, so indirectly they got their money stolen.

Anywhoo, the people should have spent money on more constructive things anyway..

    .

  • This is a stupid video. They clearly didn't check the story out or the details of the case. If it was paid for, with a credit card, it's a federal offense. I guess not every story needs to be investigated if it's not that interesting or could be played for laughs.

  • but you do have to pay money for points to buy the furniture!! so it is theft of money

  • i miss old school D&D

  • pakos reculiados metanse sus pistolas por el ollo

  • so furniture is like the moost expensive stuff in the game, didnt think they cared about cool furniture

  • Fuck i thought the young turks were cool, but now they are making fun of my country.

  • @Mi3kka1S4 you can't take a joke? they make fun of everybody including the US

  • I used to play habbo hotel as a kid! :) And you should have really done the research, kids who play that game pay money to buy furniture, and there are scammers who steal it. I knew some people who spent 90% of their lives on that game, its probably as addictive as WOW. Anyway, so they probably spent upwards of £1000 on it. So I kind of get it, but it is stupid.

  • daamn the chats are overflowing with finnish comments

  • kickball is hard to play....

  • The cops have refused to help me 4 times, and one time my car was smashed up, and I had the assailant pinned down and he had my property on his person, and they came out and let him go, they refused to fingerprint or do anything. They had the attitude, "Man fingerprinting is hard." The police only care about writing tickets or locking up people with a small amount of pot. fucking useless.

  • Cont: If we could prosecute them believe me we would to the fullest. 3. I think all modders could get along if proper credit was given all the time and permissions obtained before stuff used or shared..It's not pain painstakingly hard to aske in a email: Mr or MRS --- May I use your created thing, I want to make--- from it and use it in ---? Now how hard is that I ask? That's the bottom line here, I applaud the POLIISI for taking the case even though it most likely won't be solved.

  • My stance on this is: 1. NO site should charge a fee for game addons that are easily made (before I get flamed..Know this!! I am staff of a mod site so S.T.F.U.) This does not mean all content is easy to make though and as such I see where creators are entitled to a REASONABLE fee but nothing exorbitent in amount. 2. Theft is theft and even mods suffer this problem..alot of our stuff gets stole by GTA mods and no credit given to us nor do they ask permission to use the stuff..

  • Are you coming out against this? Fraud is fraud, whether it is online or not, whether it is in a game or not. If something is worth money and someone wants to defraud people out of said goods, whether digital or not, its fraud and should be punished.

Are you saying we should not attempt to punish these people? You are SOOO out of touch. I used to hate all the right wing talk shows out there, after Air America and this crap I realize that left wing talk shows are just as bad.

  • wow. my country is in theyoungturks

  • So, someone spent money on game items, someone stole them, and police is investigating it, and you guys make a big deal of it. Apperently, YOU, sir, dont have anything else to do than report virtual thefts on youtube. Vitun spudrospärde hurrdurr...

  • LOL you americans are stupid ass people, making fun from crime made in game that you dont even know. "how the hell they are qoing to find a guy on computer who stole it?"

    ProTip: IPs

    sry for my bad english,

  • @Muumipeikko123 You sir are the idiot for drawing conclusions about a whole people from two idiots on the Internet. Many Americans are technically savvy, at least as savvy as your average idiot from anywhere else in the world.

  • spudro

  • @Puist0kemisti spädre

  • and wtf is wrong with that cunt? plz smash her fuckin face?

  • hahah :D laugh all u want fuckin stupid americans. At least we dont have corrupted goverment as u do :D U believe ur safe with ur "god" obama but actually did u ever thinked that WTC was inside job? So fuck you and hope your police will safe in any case there is :D

  • @TheSorsastaja187 Well, I'm not too sure about our government not being corrupt... ;)

  • @TheSorsastaja187 Did someone get their feelings hurt? Go back to playing your video games, nerd.

  • Well, at least we don´t dry our cats in a micro. Go yanks.

  • the videogame furniture costs actual real money, thats why its an actual real theft.

  • kinda offencive to me and im from finland

  • amei

  • I agree that real cops investigating game theft is not the best use of their time, but TYT completely missed the point on this one. What probably happened was someone hacked into someone else's account and gave the furnature or whatever it was to an account that they own, and If anything it's easier to track that sort of theft if Habbo logs IP addresses, and ingame transactions.

  • You guys are so gay!

Haha, that girl sucks so much dick, look at her laugh.

  • the cyberpolice are going to backtrace it to see if they dun goofed

  • I love Finland.

  • people get sued for hundreds of thousands of dollars for the "virtual theft" of mp3s, which is less of a theft than this, since those people are actually just copying the mp3s.

So, if you think THIS is crazy...

  • @simex909

Exactly. I've pondered the "music piracy" debate since I was 14, and I can tell you, it's not theft. What "Pirates" like myself(lol) do only reduces demand for their product by removing *myself* from that pool of potential "demand" to consume their supply... as a consumer.

It's no different ethically from installing a pop-up blocker and using an ad-supported, free website - or from having my numder removed from a tele-marketing list.

    It's not theft, at all.

  • virtual commodites are rapidly consuming billions of dollars so there is an actual economy in this virtual world which is very real. we as an economically exhaused nation should not mock and ignore such a large economical boost and all illegal activity that hinders such an economical boost should be pursued to the fullest extent of the law,and laws should be made clear for those that do partake of illegal activity in such virtual commodities to protect that economical boost.

  • did he died?

  • i SHOT hundreds of people in grand theft auto. Should i expect to be arrested now for that? The cops in Brittian are so stupid it's not funny. Some cops are skinheads with guns. I would rather run into a nazi war criminal than State police. steven seagal would be ashamed of these cops and should have killed them in above the law while eating donuts and drinking hot coffee. They tased the donut girl for a stale donut. Obama blames bush and cops should blame bush as well. its his fault right?

  • if there was real money lost, then I totally understand. The virtual world isn't just lolcats and porn. Not recognizing this means you don't understand the modern world.

  • lol

  • Finding the last logged in IP Adress, Contacting the ISP and ask for adress with a permission of court. they go there and cought the guy :)

  • at 3:01 "and you are FINNISHED"...intentional pun?

  • lol I used to scam the hell outta people in that game it was so easy I got bored and quit.

  • we are all finnshed!!! LOL get it?

  • ...

  • Wow...... they have nothing to do huh?

  • The furniture was worth about $5000, so the real question is not why did the cops investigate (and eventually arrest the culprit), but why on earth did someone use that much money to buy virtual furniture in the first place?

  • @TheBarelyExisting The same reason you buy Blue Rays/Movie tickets/Books etc it's called entertainment AKA "disposable income sink".

  • you buy habbo coins for 15 cents apiece to get items

  • Don't you all wished you lived in a society so peaceful that something like this would be considered a crime?

  • In France these two guys were fighting, braking bottles over each others heads, blood everywhere, I called the police and they tolled me "let them run out of steam"

    Bravo.

  • this is virtually funny

  • A virtual fence :)

  • Say what you want man, but finland has the highest rate of solved crime. Then again, most of the crime is drunk people who sober up and turn themselves in.

  • @imarealgamer LOL

  • @imarealgamer and finnland also has the highest suicide rate

  • @markbotv3

Yeah, about 10 years ago. Today Finland is only 10th or something, the countries before it are way more poor or they have limited freedom like Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania, etc... I think Belarus is the first but i could be wrong. But it's not Finland.

  • @imarealgamer

Unless you're so drunk you can't remember :p

  • @imarealgamer not only drunk people... Finland also has the dudesons!

  • @94297452 Finland also has the fucking immigrants

  • @imarealgamer Yea, right... Like a drunk scammer would say: "Hey, I did it... Don't play, have a life."

  • @imarealgamer habbo es de lo mejor oh si pero hay gente ke dice ser investigadores y no lo son y se kieren acostar con uno att:michi-karen.....este es mi nombre en habbo ok bye

  • papura voda meri in muieee

  • ITZ HABBO!!!!! NOT HARBO!!!!!

  • Stupid ass... you can get the thief thro the game and it is a real crime if you have spendet your time and money to play that game.

  • @getdownsh Yeah but what do you expect the police to do? Whatever they do, they'll be wasting their resources.

  • @getdownsh This is not a real crime. Period. They can give him back the furniture in game ffs. What a retarded waste of time and resources.

  • y r they investigating habbo?

  • HABBO HOTEL!!!

Haven't played that in ages. Spent the whole time luring people into my virtual bed.

  • Got any leads? ;)

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • So by that logic if someone stole all the money you had on your bank account you should just relax and play a sport or something, after all the money was just numbers on a computer and thus virtual.

  • rofl thats the first time I heard of this and Im from finland, thats stupid. My brother had a character in habbo hotel and someone stole his stuff and he was crying and everything so what did I do? made fun of him! he gave his pw to some random guy and then the random guy proceeded to steal his junk. You spend real money on it so yeah.

  • Finland people are mentally retarded and this video is proof.

  • Habbo?! XD

  • Anonomous strikes again....

  • Oh, yeah because governments, agents, and companies, labels suing etc for licensing, copyright - essentially virtual infringement spread throughout the net must be just as ridiculous?

The format isn't what should be questioned. This should just be limited to CS. Yeah I think it's a bit ridiculous too. But that dude just can't tell a story worth a fuck, and just rubs off as a bigot.

Why, every time I click the name of an interesting video and it ends up leading me to these....videos...

  • @redoubt9000 EDIT: click and interesting NAME of a video. sry.

  • got an 20 bucks habbo coins voucher from voucherdude . com for completing some dumb surveys...pretty cool...

  • Habbo is spectacular!

    Mi favourite Game!

  • got an 20 bucks habbo coins voucher from voucherdude . com for completing some dumb surveys...pretty cool...

  • People spend thousands of dollars on that game. It's a waste of life, but when I played it I was quite successful :3 Never payed anything but I managed to make profit. Too bad you can't get money for the pixels... it's only the other way around. I don't understand why someone would pay for PIXELS >.< And then blow it on trying to get more by giving away their password and so instead of getting more they lose everything.

  • grandpa tyt doesnt understand that virtual furniture cost real money

  • finished = you have become finnish

  • Haha, so much hate on this video...wow. Anyways, gotta say you're both kinda grandpa's here, sometimes virtual expenses in video games can amount to large sums. Anyway, it's stupid. What should have happened was the admins refunded the virtual stolen good, the IP of the hacker was recorded and he got banned. If there was some major backdoor they should have fixed the coding, hired someone to fix it for them, or at WORST asked for police involvement depending on the sum stolen. IP trace

  • I FUCKING HATE THE YOUNG TURKS,

WE DONT NEED YOU TO TALK AND EXPLAIN THE VIDEO AND SHIT.

    YOUR NOT NEWS REPORTERS!

  • WTF

  • yo soy ciudadano del planeta tierra , ser humano que no cree en las fronteras

  • Pool's Closed Due to AIDS

  • FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO V FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO FUCK HABBO
  • @Dull54 Affirmative

  • shame man ><; you're making us Finns sound completely nuts.

I've only heard of one case of this happening YEARS ago, and tis cause in order to buy furniture in Habbo hotel, you actually have to spend real money for it. This one teen spent TONNES of money on it, and it all got stolen... so he tried to go to the police and see what could be done.

    ><; So stop making us sound so crazy.

  • Law & Order SVU

    Special Virtual Unit

  • CSI: MMOs

  • Comment removed

  • this is runescape timmy all over again

  • Hey, guy on the left:

I would've had you arrested for not being funny, especially in Finland.

  • lol, if they're going to start hiring police for internet theft they should have started years ago with Ultima Online...

  • timmy was on the news...

  • Fuck you TheYoungTurks you mother fuckers all you do is talk shit you dip shits.

  • @BryantTheGangstar wow u rlly want cops to come to ur house because u play WoW and some1 stole ur kil!? ur gay...

  • @Kaylanthedj WOW I WAS SAYING HOW ALL THEY DO IS TALK, you freaking idiot dumb shit. Go fuck your tranvest mother.

  • @BryantTheGangstar Well they do report things so its obvious they would talk most through the show. You dont have to calling names and cursing for no reason. lucky thing i dont report you for cyber bullying a minor

  • I thought they called the cops cause the pool had aids XD (inside habbo joke :P) haha been a long time since I actually went on there :P

  • who gives a shit about haboo i mean come on what a waste of time

  • in habbo theres a trading system, like tradin rooms and all that kind of stuff

but someone who scams the person out of their trade meet someone at the trade room then tell them u have what they want and tell them to f/r to come to THEIR room so the person can take it..

thats when noobs were invented... u cannot take it furni from another persons room its only TRADEABLE the dumb noob goes to the room then drops the thing they want to trade to get that thing. then they get kicked and get nothing

  • TYT, I love you to death. Been following you for over 2 years now and like Brianwulf & eggerton said, you are dead wrong on this one.

Virtual Theft is a crime nonetheless considering people paid "real" money to acquire whatever items they purchased... Please do some research so you can report rather than be opinionated about something you are ignorant about!

  • virtual theft of money, this video is STUPID

  • you guys are douchebags lmao, you dont realise that it takes time to get items on games and also, you pay money for most of them, so if you spent alot of time and money on a videogame, which is unlikely, but still if you did, wouldn't you be mad?

  • I used to steal furni (habbo slang for furniture) all the time 3 or 4 years ago on habbo.

You dont 'hack' you just phish. Most of the users are under 13 so its literally taking candy from a baby.

And you can't sell the furni, you just decorate your room. Theres no revenue coming in from the distribution of it or anything.

I say the police in finland find something better to do.

  • "End of line, you are Finnish"

  • ahahhaha lol...hope he doesn't sell it...lol...hmmmm well you can't really hide furniture ..so what would happen if the cops find the person..but then he deletes it lol..where would be the proof lol lol...

  • Sorry turks, I love you, but your dead wrong on this one.

  • I agree with the guy who said to do some research... this is a pretty bad excuse for a video if you have absolutely no insight on the story you're covering

  • what has this world come to

  • lmao I used to be addicted to this stupid game spent 50 bucks on furni :/

  • Yep, these guys dont give facts, i doudt they ever played a game where you actually purchase VIRTUAL items. In MMO, at least i know, that when you actually but stuff or send in money though your credit card, ALL games should have a receipt and confirmation

and when your done buying it, if you dont get it, you can call them

if anyones playing a game wheres theres no customer service( ones that sell virtual items at least) then you prob shouldnt be playin lawl

  • hahaha I remember habbo hotel. Thats all we used to do, is scam people. It was hilarious. Thats all there was to do. We had like 200 dollars worth of virtual furniture before we got bored.

  • Next time I'm killed in Call of Duty I'm phoning the Police

  • most cops are idots

  • tyt couldnt make a story iontresting if there life depended on the shit if u look up bland and boring in the dictionary this show would pop up

  • The police are involved?

    ...did they close the pool?

  • YOU SUCK ASS NIGGA

  • that is just crazy!!!

  • even i can remember jenk telling this story :)

  • "Do worry sir, I'm from the Internet!"

  • If this is how they want to spend their taxes (I'm assuming it's funded by taxes) I'm happy for them.

  • ive heard the D&D story b4 haha :D man, been watching TYT for too long xD

  • omg i scammed all the time in habbo when i was younger :S.

  • Finland must be a great place to live if that's the best thing the cops have to do.

  • Are the Finnish Police going to go after Anonymous for Hate Speech during their monthly "Pool's Closed" raid?

  • @Dantinus No they're in on it.

  • freee furniii?!? giveaway?!!

    rofl habbo sucks balls

  • Was it an Anon raid?

  • you are "Finnished!"

  • Well hey this is what happends when you have a nation with no crime in it. It doesnt have crime in it because it isnt filled with Jews and Negroes who will cause problems and eventually destroy the nation. Notice how every single part of America that is infected with negroes has serious crime problem. Notice how that nation has to resort to virtual reality when there is zero crime. I went to Europe and saw poverty far exceeding that of negroes in USA yet little crime and no welfare bums.

  • @AlabamaConfederacy Shouldn't you be... you know... reproducing with your relatives...

  • @AlabamaConfederacy how about all the white trash criminals in trailer parks, white pedophiles, cereal killers, drug addicts, rapist.

  • Virtual murder!!

  • I'm sorry, but real cops playing on cyberspace looking for stolen code is retarded. The company should be properly managing their shit in this case. How hard is it to replace a virtual item? Not very hard... Costumer service could do that if the department isn't shit. And looking in on peoples virtual possessions and making sure there is backup information that validates their possessing of said items? Not hard again... Just delete the items that don't belong. Problem solved.

    I-r-Smart

  • you're the most callous people in the planet ;-)

  • So TYT laughs at countries were police do their jobs..... great logic!

  • I love you guys, but this is the reason why I'm glad you guys stopped talking about video games.

  • Uh, oh ...Cenk got the WoW dorks fired up! There will be numerous Doritos stained fingers typing out comments for this video!

  • @Diatonic5th heheh good one

  • @Diatonic5th AND leaveing Hot Pocket crumbs in their keyboards. Never forget... the Hot Pockets (official meal of wow)
