  • very nice alter Prabhu, i noticed the Deity behind the Lingam. i hope i wont offend if i ask 1) is the Deity installed ? 2) do you worship Lord Shiva as a personality ? and 3) what form of Lord Shiva does the deity represent ? thank You , HARIBOL

  • why wud u have a picture of Jesus and Mary? arent u hindu? im hindu to but i dont have any images of JESUS and MARY!

  • aum namah sivaya

  • According to Dr Yadubamshi, during the period before the hymns of the Yajuveda had been composed but later than the Rig and Atharvavedic periods, a non-Aryan god was fused with God Rudra. This non-Aryan god, he adds, was worshiped by some tribes in the Himalayan valleys, including the Kiratis. (Shaivamata :The Shaiva Sect)

Today Kirat people still live in the Himalayas region especially Nepal.

check the video --> "sakela~the greatest festival of kirat people"

  • @diliprai

i want to talk to u...!

    i am a kannadiga ---abhishek--9916604781

  • Folks type "sakela~ the greatest festival of Kirat people" and one will learn more about Kirat's history, religion and culture who are believed to have started the worshiping of phallus stone.

    Also type" Kirat temple"

You will see three stones which are the main deities of Kirat people but you won't see Shiva statue unlike other Hindu temple.

Kirat are the Indo-Mongoloid people who are the natives of the ancient India.

Google Kiratas and wiki will give more insight about this people.

  • Namaskar Nadananda, Iym Nama Kleem. Jaya Shiva Shambo Shankara Hara Hara, mahadeva!

  • The lingam is a sign/symbol of matter within the universe(Yoni)

  • Mann meera gaaye Om namah shivaya

    Muy bonito, gracias

    Bole bole!! Mahadeva

  • o ya by the way, i remember how i used to think of shiva, but now i have come a long way to truly understand this mysterious deity. all i know is, shiva is nothing but just another name for just the force of nature. he is the one who leads to bliss, no matter what u call God. well, blessed be!!!

  • What a beautiful thing. Russil Paul is the perfect accompaniment for this Indo-Christan altar. Om Namah Shiva... God Bless... or what you will.

  • Om Namah Shiva!

  • Follow your bliss, brother. There is something to be said for the basic notion of "Hinduism" as the "eternal religion"...it is very much a science of the subjective, so in that way has universal implications, esp. if what the western "Orientalists" say about the real age of Vedic civilization is wrong. With that said, equivilents of Shiva/Shakti and Linga/Yonic worship and typology are UNIVERSAL, and the worship of the Linga is evidenced across many continents.

  • My dear friend,

I have collected and shared Shiva Lingams over 30 years, and have just finished writing a book on the subject. My information and historical facts come from many sources, including fables, elder tales, etc. I am so impressed and inspired by your video. Please let the negative and any hurtful comments left here by others disapate into the sky.

Enjoy the blessings of the day in serving others. Thank you.

  • Dandavah ;-)

    Om Namah Shivaya

  • God Bless You...Om Namah Shiva 109 times

  • just remember one thing, unlike ganesh, shiva is a potential threat to spirituality. just be careful who u pray to

  • First of all, I'm not a Hindu, so please don't think I'm proselytizing.

My belief is that all names, images, and ideas about the Transcendental Reality are vain imaginations. The problem is not in the worship of any specific conception of God. The problem is the delusion that any one specific conception of God is existentially true and therefore the One to worship (and it is better if I worship your imagined True Form of God - since only you have the inside scoop on God's Form;-).

  • Don't waste time trying to define God, simply accept and live the Divine Life.

True religion is to feed the hungry, comfort the sick, protect the helpless, and encourage those without hope.

    - Shanti

  • very well said.

and the guys comment about Shiva is rubbish.

those who are not very educated in Hindu dharma often perceive Shiva as negative, without shiva the continuation of everything is impossible.

Brahma cannot create before Shiva Destructs.

to put it simply you cant turn a light on again before you turn it off.

  • errr...can u message me and tell me why?

  • Threat to spirituality? Tell me: how is He a threat, why, and according to who? Please be specific and give logical reasons.

  • well thats what i did think about him, but i guess i really dont know. I mean he is the lord of destruction, therefore making him seem like a devil, but i guess at the end, its how you interpret him. I guess some say he is the devil, others say he is the destroyer of evil. i guess only time can tell

  • "Destruction" is a harsh translation of what He does. "Dissolution" (passing away) would be better. Lord Shiva is the Supreme Divine, Who incarnates as Brahma (Who creates), Vishnu (Who preserves), and Rudra (Who dissolves). He also incarnates as the Divine Mother. Without dissolution, then the evil inside and around us would never go away.

  • point' well o well, life goes on, sucks that we all have to die, but hell, we all become angels after death right? i say so

  • wrong, you become re-incarnated your sayings are wrong and I dont think you will even be re-incarnated as a human, just an ant, as you said Shiva is a threat, big mistake

  • beautiful video - and I love Paul Russil!\\\

  • Hey I was just going through your video. We also have a Narmada Siva Lingam at home. Was surpised to see the photographs of some saints at you shrine. They adorn the shrine at my home, too. Must tell you this was a surprise, albeit a pleasant one.

  • hey, nice video. if your interested in hinduism or you are hindu message me and i'll give you the link to my message board, the hinduism cafe.

  • namaste!

    what is this egg?

  • Lingam. The abstract representation of the absolute unmanifest all-thing. The creative Void of Braman. God.

It is a polished stone from the Ganges river in the Himalayan Mountains.

  • I have never seen a lingam like that

  • I'm not really Hindu, so my shrine is not orthodox. Perhaps my lingam would look familiar in a more traditional yoni? It is curious, the ends are not flat, yet if I orient it just right it will stand steady as a rock. :-)

I'm using a cambridge ashtray that was in my father's collection as the yoni. It gives the flowers a place to set and the water a place to run (still using Ganga Jal I brought back last year).

    Om Nama Shivaya!

  • It's called a Narmada Shiva Lingam.

  • are you a Hindu..!?

  • Thank you for this video. the music is very beautiful

  • Thank you very much - it is beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Om Namo Bhagavathe Rudraya, Om Namah Shivaya

  • Your cult intimo, your songs and sharing your experience is something beautiful. Thank you very much. OM NAMAHA SHIVAYA

  • Satya Meva Jayate

Yajur Veda 40:9-They are in darkness and are steeped in ignorance and sunk in the greatest depths of misery who worship the uncreated, eternal prakrti-the material cause of the world-in place of the All-pervading God, BUT THOSE WHO WORSHIP VISIBLE THINGS BORN OF THE PRAKRTI, such as the earth, trees, humans bodies in place of God are enveloped in still greater darkness are extremely foolish, fall into an awful hell of pain and sorrow, and suffer terribly for a long time.

  • Exactly what is your point?

  • do u have only 1 dialogue mate

in evry video comment i find only this comment of urs. wat do u wana prove by repeating this dialogue. i believe God is omnipresent ,hence HE is evrywhre mate ,evrywhre and HE is there where there is FAITH.

  • I don't know the Vedas that well, but what I do know is that the iconoclastic argument is false, since if it's central critique were taken seriously, life and culture would become impossible. To worship God, even in the mind, with "form" (attributes) would then have to be an "idolatry" - which perhaps it is, but for some, a necessary one.
