There were clashes only on a single ship, the rest of the convoy was unharmed. Israel has the right to security and to stop its enemy (Hamas, Hesbollah) from getting its hands on weapons. No, no one was killed on any of the other boats. The other footage taken by Israeli helicopter above the ship is the Mavi - you can tell as it show the side of the ship which has cranes on the side - the Karadeniz does not have these. But this footage is not the main propaganda piece and does not show passengers beating soldiers with bars, just throwing back tear gas canisters and passengers trying to apprehend them.

The fence provoking critisizm was the west bank one, for that it passes through palestinian territories (usually up to several hundred meters from the green line).
There was a public debate in Israel concerning its course, which was claimed to be imposed by strategic necessity.
The necessity of the fence was never challenged. It proved very effective at preventing bombings.

The way the Palestinians say it, it sounds like we built it in the middle of their street, and they can't even leave the house. There were clashes only on a single ship, the rest of the convoy was unharmed. Israel has the right to security and to stop its enemy (Hamas, Hesbollah) from getting its hands on weapons. They only wanted to scour the ship for weapons and not to stop aids reaching Gaza. If some use such actions to supply the Palestine with weaponry than this is no longer a civilian humanitarian action but a shear military one the Israeli have the right to intervene.

The other footage taken by Israeli helicopter above the ship is the Mavi - you can tell as it show the side of the ship which has cranes on the side - the Karadeniz does not have these. But this footage is not the main propaganda piece and does not show passengers beating soldiers with bars, just throwing back tear gas canisters and passengers trying to apprehend them.

Its clear from the above clip that it is not the Mavi but the Karadeniz, this was staged for media propaganda, no other way to explain it - the Radar dome is the wrong shape for it to be Mavi, or maybe my eyes are lying to me...

Regarding the missing name on the side its difficult to tell as it was shot in infra-red so will not show color, but the 100% give away is the radar dome - its the Karadeniz.

This footage is a hoax, this is not the Mavi Marmara but its sister ship the TDI Karadeniz, you can tell by the shape of the radar dome - on the Mavi its perfectly spherical but the Karadeniz its elongated like in this footage. The Karadeniz was recently sold to a greek company and renamed the Dream. Go check pictures of these ships and you will see - google shipspottingDOTcom Mavi Marmara TDI Karadeniz. So they staged this as propaganda.

They refused to let Israel inspect the ship for explosives, and other illegal contraband. When the soldier came to check the cargo, the "peace activists" attacked them.

FYI The activist did not "attack" the IDF. The aid convoy, being in international waters, attempted to defend themselves from an act of piracy by a nation with no legal authority over those ships. The Israelis attacked with helicopters, machine guns, and tear gas. The ships' defenders had axes and a few knives AND EVERY LEGAL RIGHT TO DEFEND THEMSELVES FROM AN ACT OF PIRACY.

This ship was 12 nautical miles from the coast. The IDF repeteadly warned them to go to Ashdod to search the ship, but the captain said he was going straight to Gaza.

@glkoop I read the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), FYI "Helsinki Principles on the Law of Maritime Neutrality" and "The San Remo Manual" doesn't apply in this case, both laws are just for armed conflict at Sea and to be more specific for conflicts between states, in this case Gaza isn't a state, is it? also in this case there are no conflicts in the sea. blockade is not a valid reason, as it is a concept only applicable to war situations.

In an effort to stop terrorist attacks, Israel and Egypt formed a blockade, allowing ships to pass only after they had been searched for illegal contraband. And the Law of the Sea dictates that any ship declaring intent to break a blockade can be stopped withing 24 nautical miles of the blockade. The ship was 12 nautical miles away. Everything Israel did in this situation was perfectly legal. Dozens of countries have done the same.

Why would they just sit there until the soldiers came down, if they were under heavy fire? Why not just wait belowdeck, or inside? Because we did not come for a war. We came with paintball guns, and emergency pistols. The soldiers used the pistols ONLY after two soldiers were stabbed, and one was thrown off.

@quenuca Once again, Israel gave repeated warnings telling them to go to Ashdod so they could check the cargo. These "stone throwers" are hundreds of angry civilians surrounding four soldiers, throwing chunks of cement the size of a head. People can kill just fine without guns, have done so for centuries. And Israel almost never uses tanks, much less against civilians.

The rules of engagement allow a country using a blockade to intercept any ships with the intentions of passing the blockade, within 24 nautical miles of the blockade. The ships were at 12 nautical miles. And believe it or not, 100 people armed with metal rods can ceartanly kill someone just as easily as any gun you care to name.

The IDF DID tell the ship to redirect to Ashdod, so they can inspect the cargo, but the captain refused, saying they were going straight to Gaza. And the helicopter did not open fire. Don't be rediculous. The IDF taped the whole thing, and it was clearly shown.

Israel was founded on 25% of what it is today. The Arabs held 70% of Israel, and that STILL wasn't enough for them. Any time Israel gained territory, it was the result of the Arabs waging war on us, and losing. We have even given back massive pieces of land as a peace gesture.

@generalkohn u should know...the peace that Israel try to make is a part of their strategy to stop HAMAS and strategy to keep eliminate Arab....CNN ever reported that Israel goverment force arab people to leave...and we, malaysian not see it as a peace, and whole world never see what israel goverment try to make any single peace, when they treat arab people, when they attacking people, when a picture show a mother had been killed by Israel army, when a father killed when protecting his son,

@TheAdidasjabulani coz u not an expert people who doing research in palestine, about what really happen, u can't deny, the world hate ISRAEL, u can say that terrorist is people, but jews make it worst, they not try to find any solution, maybe they have it but that's not a solution, just a trick, u can't deny that jews purposely exist in palestine is to eliminate all ARAB MUSLIM, peace that they try to make is a peace toward their purpose, this is a conclusion made by an expert ppl.

@TheAdidasjabulani The whole Islamic world maybe. As I see it, Radical Muslims hate just about everything. You hate christians, you hate America, you hate democracy,you hate equal rights, you hate women, you hate Jews, you hate other Muslims,you hate anyone who doesnt give you what you want, and you hate basic human rights.
Why should I be surprised when you say you hate Israel? Radical Islam is a culture of hate, and you oppress the average Muslim who doesn't want to get involved.

@generalkohn radical muslim hate it becoz some reason that u never understand....some reason that u have to study it so that u can make a right conclusion.....like other expert ppl, not like u, who see all something outside, israel is different, they expose they acting, cruel, i give some clue....why radical muslim hate it becoz all of thing that u mention especially basic human right is againt human itself, its lies, its beautiful outside but really harsh inside....againt the law of CREATOR.
